… As Builder’s Fellowship was Unveiled


Friends, family, and associates of Builder Olusesan Daini the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA gathered to celebrate his legacy as he winds down his administration. The event, featuring two panel sessions, highlighted Daini’s achievements and impact on Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA on July 17th, and also marked the launch of the Builder’s Fellowship, a initiative to give back to the community.

Mr. Waheed Kasali, Permanent Secretary, Tertiary Education in Lagos State, praised Daini’s exceptional leadership. He narrated that Daini’s development projects, including the construction of a palace in six months, have made history in grassroots governance. Kasali noted that Daini has a deep understanding of the environment in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and has demonstrated determination and vision. He emphasized that Daini is a 21st-century leader.

During the first panel session, Mrs. Siwoniku Oluseun, Daini’s elder sister, described him as a unique and special person who has always been a good friend. She narrated their childhood friendship and praised Daini’s commitment to his community and family. She emphasized that Daini has always been a source of pride for their family.

Mayor Deen Sanwoola, Director General of iCare Foundation, praised Daini, noting that he prioritizes legacy projects. He added that Daini’s true value would only be fully appreciated after he leaves office and suggested that a larger forum should be held to celebrate him.

Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, Executive Chairman Ijede LCDA commended Daini, saying, “Daini is someone that we call Mr. Fix it at the conference 57, he’s a solution provider, he’s my go-to person.

Badmus Lateef former Council Manager, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA praised Daini’s ability to complete projects quickly, citing the legislative and administrative building, which was completed in six months. Jelili Ogunmuyiwa noted that Daini has digitalized revenue collection, resulting in significant growth from N19 million to over N90 million.

Alhaji Taiwo Odumbo, Education Secretary, Ikorodu LGEA, commended Daini’s commitment to education, noting that he has seen Daini’s legacies in every school he visited.

According to Dr. Dankuwo Adeleke, Daini is a strong advocate for building capacities among Igbogbo youths. As a member of the Igbogbo Youth Forum, and he’s passionate about community development and the personal growth of his fellow youths.

Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, Deputy Leader of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, described Daini as a transformer and builder of infrastructure, human capacity, and many things. She emphasized that Daini is a pacesetter and a pathfinder who has transformed the LCDA into a mega town.

Builder Olusesan Daini, Executive Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA described the celebration as a surprise, saying he was initially only informed about launching an initiative without knowing the elaborate plans that had been put in place.

Daini noted that the recognition brings both honor and a sense of responsibility, as he feels the weight of expectation from the people who are watching him. However, he is determined to use the Builder’s Fellowship as an opportunity to reach out to the needy, support his community, and make a positive impact on people’s lives.

He pledged to impact 150 children within 100 days of leaving office and invited the public to celebrate with him after achieving this goal. Daini emphasized his passion for impacting lives and transforming communities, stating that he is excited about the opportunity to work with like-minded individuals through the fellowship.

During the second panel session, several speakers praised Builder Olusesan Daini’s leadership and achievements. Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba, Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, described Daini as a champion of young people and women, saying he is always willing to listen to their concerns.

Comrade Biliaminu Oba, Senior Special Assistant on Social Development to the Governor of Lagos State, hailed Daini as the true architect of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA’s transformation. He cited Daini’s digital initiatives, including the creation of the LCDA’s website, and credited him with changing the narrative that young people can excel when given opportunities.

Comfort Olafare, Deputy Chairman of NYCN Lagos, expressed gratitude to Daini for the opportunity to serve as his Special Assistant on New Media. She said the role prepared her for her current position as Senior Legislative Aide to Senator Abiru.

Hon. Adele Elijah, former Chairman of Apapa Local Government, who has known Daini for 25 years, described him as a visionary leader with a strong commitment to human capacity building. He noted that Daini’s achievements are evident throughout Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
