It is a Green Dinner and Green Janitors Third Year Anniversary, it’s a gathering for the esteemed Volunteers to connect, share experience and reward passion.

To promote and encourage going green which is to conserve resources, reduce pollution, conserve energy, reduce consumption, reduce waste, promote recycling and sustainability, which are the primary objective of Green janitor.



Now more than ever, our planet needs us to step up and take action towards cleaning up many of the messes we have made through irresponsibility. Whether it be from oil spills, air pollution, plastics, or toxic chemicals leaking into our water, there is still a lot that must be done to bring our ecosystem back into balance.



Going Green involves taking steps to minimize the damage humans are doing on the environment, to live an environmentally responsible life and to make choices that will help preserve the earth and it’s nonrenewable resources instead of destroying them,to help live a healthy life.

Gbodo Cares Learning Center in partnership with Project L.O.U.D empowers and celebrate the graduands in grand style at the second edition of the graduation for intensive ICT and Vocational Skills on Saturday, 20th of August.

The Lagos State Government was well represented by Project L.O.U.D at the graduation ceremony as gifts such as Sewing Machines, Make-up kits, Android and lots more was given to the graduands of the Vocational training.

TEENSMATA CHAMPIONS EMBARKED ON CLEAN UP PROJECT AT LADEGA MARKET, IKORODU ~Ajasa-Info

On 1st July 2022, Youth Powered Eco-System to Advance Urban Adolescent Health (YPE4AH) Project Champions for Change C4C Adolescents embarked in an humanitarian service project in ikorodu area of Lagos State. These Adoelscents were trained under the 5-Years USAID-YPE4AH Project in Lagos and Kano State.

The exercise was initiated by the young leaders to further take proactive actions in providing solutions to challenges facing young adolescents in the society. Over 35 young adolescents from Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Gbagada came together in ikorodu to clean Ladega Market and while cleaning exercise was on-going, the Champions were also interfacing with young people, market men/women, market Attendance and Passer-by on issues affecting adolescents such as high rate of abuse of drugs and Gender-Based Violence. They also encouraged the public to enroll their children within the ages of 15-19 years to our Hub centres close to their locations.



The adolescents engaged in thorough clean up of ladega market, it attracted people within the community. Community people commended them for making out time to render such magnitude services. They also spoke on local language to drive their ask and messages. One of the women feels highly elated by the adolescents gesture.

YPE4AH Project Team and Youth Champions were there to support the young adolescents and guide them on their plannings. They were equally glad by their initiative to advance their community. It will further help create selfless service mindset in them.

Champion Nurudeen who is an Adolescent from Araromi thanked United State Agency for International Development (USAID) for thinking Nigeria for this impactful project. He said the project has helped him discovered himself and has built his leadership skills. This is why he is taking responsibility to advance his community with what he has demosteated; Nurudeen said.

NOT TOO YOUNG TO RUN (NTYTR) MOVEMENT LAGOS STATE CHAPTER EMBARKS ON SENSITIZATION CAMPAIGN FOR PVC ~Ajasa-Info

The NTYTR Lagos Movement sensitized the people of Oshodi/Isolo LGA on Saturday 21st, March 2022 on the need to obtain their PVCs as regards the forthcoming general elections.

Speaking with the Coordinator of the Movement, Feyikemi Idowu Fabiyi encouraged the community people to get involved in 2023 election. She admonished them to get registered and obtain their PVCs.

She said “it is very important that we all get registered and this process can be done online.

“The Members of NTYTR Movement pre-registered about 1,276 residences, including market men and women in Oshodi. All the NTYTR Lagos Executives were all engaged throughout the sensitization on Saturday.

The coordinator of the Lagos State movement, Feyikemi Fabiyi, also expatiated on the importance of PVCs in the electoral process and charged people to claim their voters’ cards when the time comes, as the number of abandoned cards at INEC offices is always alarming. The era of sitting at home without voting is over, she said.

GOLDEN EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION LAUNCH 10 YEARS PROJECT TOWARDS BUILDING GIRL CHILD IN IKORODU DIVISION ~Ajasa-Info

Coupled with different Anti-social vices that had been happening across the globe particularly among girl child in Nigeria as a whole, The Golden Integrated Empowerment Foundation, a non-profit making and non-governmental based organization in Lagos, launches it’s 10years capacity building project for the girl child on Saturday 30th of April, 2022.

The empowerment programme which is part of the pet-project of the foundation focuses on training on different skills, mentorship programme in a bid to reduce early marriage and encourage them to become a better version of themselves.

In a interview with the Convener of the foundation, Ms Patricia Okosodo, she affirmed that the programme was birthed to help in changing the wrong narrative about girl child in the society. She explained further that the major focus of the project is basically on mentorship which would be geared towards giving the girl child the necessary skills needed to survive in the society at large.



To her, “Empowering the girl child is fundamental because the girl child is gifted without boundaries. To maximize the potentials in her, she must be deliberately educated, empowered, mentored, nurtured, and encouraged to be a better part of herself so that she can be accepted and respected in the society”. In her statement and I quote ” When this is done, it is certain that this will help the society at large and contribute immensely to nation building in many ways. They will be able to solve the problem of unemployment, building a healthy family, self confidence and participating in major leadership positions in the society.

PVC4HER: Constitution Lab trains Young Women on PVC ~Ajasa-Info

As part of effort towards promoting greater women participation in electoral and Governance processes, Constitution Lab a Non Governmental Organisations which is committed to raising informed citizens that will engage government on laws and policies demanding for accountability and good governance organises a sensitisation and mobilisation for young Nigerians most especially women to be change agent and be actively involved in process that would herald transformational leadership for Nigeria by getting their PVCs in a project tagged PVC4HER.

The training for the PVC4Her ambassador’s which was held on Saturday 12th March, 2022 at the American Corner Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos witness the attendance of seasoned facilitator which taught the ambassador’s about the importance and dynamics of electoral process and why young people must be at the forefront of decision making in the country democratic settings

The PVC4Her campaign drive training and sensitisation in the grassroots is a project sponsored by the US Consulate Lagos in Partnership with Carrignton Youth Fellowship Initiative was initiated to mobilised 40 women from the 20 LGAs of Lagos to serve as ambassador of the Initiative in their respective communities in a 3 months structure statewide mobilisation and Enrollment exercise across the length and breadth of Lagos.

During the opening remarks by the Project Lead Rt Hon. (Dr.) Azeezat Yishawu said the training will afford the women to be equipped with the preprequisite knowledge of the project with the manual design for the project implementation across communities as guiding tools for both the facilitators and the participants. The trainings cover the 20 LGAs of Lagos as 40 young women have been selected in the first phase of the project as Mobilizers and PVC advocate in each communities. This women are expected to serve as ambassador for constitutionalab in the community and will also be Election observer during the anticipated 2023 general election.

Mr. Olushola Owonikoko CYFI Alumni President and Representative of the US Consulate congratulate the selected ambassador’s amidst the numbers of application sent by participants and further charge them to objectively embrace the project considerable Mobilisation and sensitisation of young people in their communities.

Dr Azeezat Yishawu further said participants are expected to organize a community sensitization and PVC registration which will be carried with support of the Constitutionalab and partners and individual local government Chairmen in the grassroots.

The facilitators list of Mr Kunle Lawal Executive Director Electoral College Nigeria, Mr Chidi Odinanwa, Director Good Governance Program and Ms. Okikiola Jalupon House of Assembly Aspirant/Politician gave a detailed account of the training course for PVC4Her while the Founder of Constitution Lab Mr. Brownson Etimbuk appreciated all participants for their time and commitment during the course of the training while he receive reassurances from the participants of their selflessness during the community mobilisation.

Golden Integrated Foundation End of the year Grassroot Initiative Project for Young Persons ~Ajasa-Info

…. Women welfare outreach for widows old women, single mothers.

It was a moment of laughter and joy when Golden integrated foundation, a Non – Governmental organization launched it’s grassroots Initiative Programmes for young persons in Nigeria on Friday 17th of Dec. 2021 during it’s children party held in Ilaje community, a rural area in Ikorodu local government.

The kids were treated to a number of fun activities such as spelling bee competition, poem recitation and dance competition. They were also presented with gifts by the conveyner of the foundation Miss Patricia Okosodo.



Speaking at the event, she explained that the intention was to bring the Christmas experience to the children in the rural areas and also make them feel loved during this festive season.

Still in the spirit of giving… The GIEF celebrated the widows, single mothers and less privileged in the society on the 23 of Dec.

The event was full of Thanksgiving which the session was led by Pst Mrs Maria Okosodo witnessed large turn out of widows in the community.



In her statement, the conveyner of the foundation admonishing the widows and less privileged about the importance of living right as good health is a criteria to live long. Items such as rice, indomie, tee-tomatoes etc were distributed to the women.

IEEE, LCYDI equip youths in Mushin with Digital Skills ~Ajasa-Info

The Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, Nigeria Chapter in partnership with the Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative have partnered to provide digital skills to young people in Mushin Community.

The 4-weeks Digital Skills training which commenced on 1st November, 2021 and ended on 28th November, 2021 was held at the Omititi ICT Center. A facility owned by Honourable Abdulsobur Olayiwola Olawale, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Mushin Constituency 2.

During the course of the training, participants were equipped with skills in UI/UX design, Web Development and Basic Computer Operation.

At the well-attended closing ceremony held at the Omititi ICT center on 2nd December, 2021, participants displayed their various projects and shared beautiful feedback on how the training has helped them. One of the participants who identified as Salewa said that she was a graphic designer and the training in web development has enabled her to upskill into a new venture. She had designed her first website and hosted it already. She was now ready for a greater challenge in the ICT world.

Addressing the participants, Ugonma Deborah Ogu representing the Institute of Electronic Engineers, Nigeria Chapter, shared insights into the humanitarian projects embarked upon by the Institute since 2020 and how these have helped beneficiaries become more self-sufficient. She also advised all participants not to abandon continuous learning as there are still various grounds to cover in order to attain full proficiency. She further assured the participants that they would be exposed to more advanced stages of learning and added to networking and support groups as a follow-up to the 4-week training.



The State Chairman, LCYDI, Comrade Akanni Michael also expressed delight at the success of the strategic partnership and the benefits it holds for the beneficiaries and the community at large. He informed that the Organization will be glad to extend such strategic partnerships and also partner with any Organization or individual that means well for the Youths of Lagos and all her communities.

Among dignitaries present were Hon. Noah Olaitan Osifeso; Chairman BYA Group, Hon. Oyefolu Shakiru; Supervisor for Agric & Social Services Mushin Local Government, Comrade Akanni Michael; State Chairman, Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative, Hon Yekini; Councillor Ward E, Hon. Monsurdeen Adeleye Olusoji; Vice-chairman APC Mushin Local Government, Mr Yusuf Owolabi amongst others. The dignitaries all shared their goodwill messages to participants and gave various advises encouraging them to appreciate the opportunity to acquire such important skills for free especially as we are in a world where abundant opportunities await persons who are computer literate and skilled in IT.

30 participants were awarded Certificates and they all expressed their delight at being beneficiaries of such a Laudable project at no cost.

Leo Lion Summit 2.0 ~Ajasa-Info

The event took place on the 30th of October 2021,at Oluwatoyin Lions Activity Center(OLAC) along Owode Ibeshe Road,Ikorodu Lagos State.
The programme started with a national anthem(as part of the Lions Club doctrine),then an opening prayer and all order programs followed.
The program was solely an interactive session between the Lions and the Leos present.

There was a panel discussion which was anchored by Leo Adesola Abdul, Questions were thrown to the Panelists in person of Lion Niyi Lawal(the Leo Program Chairperson), Lion Tunji Oredipe(a prominent member of Ikorodu Metropolitan Lions Club), Lion Shogo Oloshunde(a member of Eko Centinial Lions Club and the pioneer district president of Leo District 404A1 Nig), Leo Adebayo Adeyinka(the multiple district president Leo district 404 Nigeria),Leo Okunuga Olamilekan(the District President of Leo District 404A1), Leo Oduguwa Abdullateef(the immediate past district president of Leo District 404A1 Nig), Leo Edwin-Cole Victor(the incumbent region director of Leo Region 2) and Leo Funmi Olude(a past region director of region 2) respectively.
