Lagos Woman Dance a socio-cultural organization with membership across Lagos State converged on 58/60 Oduduwa Crescent, GRA Ikeja to announce their endorsement of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and also the second term bid of Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

Representing the Director General, the Director in the office of the DG Mr. Akinduro Ibesanmi appreciated the group for coming. He admonished them to reach out to all in their household and neighbours with the good news that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the man for the job and that a good term of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu deserves another as governor of the state.

The Director of Women Mobilization Directorate Mrs. Folashade Onajobi expressed her joy on the massive turnout of the group members. She assured them that their commitment shall not be taken for granted.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Lady Angela the group founder stated that the members, numbering over a thousand people, are ready to give their votes to Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu come 25th February and 11th March general elections respectively .

The event was witnessed by Leaders of the Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shetima and Sanwo-Olu-Hamzat (ICC) among whom were Mr. Akinduro Ibesanmi who represented the Director General Mr. Tayo Akinmade Ayinde, Mr. Wale Adelana of the Directorate of Ethnicity Affairs.

The REAL Initiatives and The concerned Ikorodu Division Youth organised the second edition of the Ikorodu Division Legislative Debate for all House of Assembly candidates contesting in various parties, which took place on 22nd of January, at the Ikorodu Ultra-Moldern Town Hall, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

Babasola babatomiwa Africa democratic Congress house of Representative candidate here in Ikorodu. “I appreciate my party for giving me the opportunity to serve our people here in Ikorodu. For the past six months of which we have been moving around for consultations for meetings, Ikorodu is a very big place and Ikorodu deserves the best. What I will try to do when given the opportunity is to push the view to increase the territory here in Ikorodu so that our people can enjoy more of democracy.we have more federal legislature, we have more state legislature and things like that. I will want our people to go get their PVC watch out for the best candidate andlet us do this together.”

Erogbogbo Rotimi, Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association. “What we have heard today, is a good Innovation from the young people and we can see that we have a couple of youths at the program, i am particularly impressed that Ikorodu truly is the third largest city in the south west Nigeria, outside Lagos and ibadan.and this young people are out there to show us a new way to do things. We have so much hope in them, Ikorodu people can go to bed because we have couple of young people who can take us to the next destination to bring development to Ikorodu. Ikorodu has potentials no doubt, if you listen to all the candidates we have today. I want to encourage them to work together to actualize the dream of our fore fathers and Ikorodu oga. We are Ikorodu oga so we must stay on top, we must continue to float and work as the oga that we are. We must come to vote for the right person for Lagos and Nigeria.”

Adekunle Razaq Ademide, the candidate of New Nigerians people’s party to contest for the seat for Ikorodu constituency 1, Lagos State house of assembly. “My advice is for the youths to participate in this election, they should go and get their cards and also come out to speak out and allow the best candidate to be elected.”

According to Bukky odunate, “I am coming out under the flagship of actions and lions party, the slogan goes action alliance, let the masses lead. Our passion is for the party, we want people to enjoy the benefits of being a citizen especially in ikorodu.if I am electing into the house of Representative, the youths are there. Youths I want you to know one thing, you are not the youths of tomorrow but if today. Your today is your today and your tomorrow is your tomorrow. I am also a youth, and we are going to do it together, people who came out to contest for the house of Representative, all of us are youths and we are ready to take the bull by it’s horn because we have so much to deliver.”

According to Oluwaseun Elesho the convener, second Ikorodu division legislative “We want to thank God for the success of this debate and basically, those who came in for this debate, we can see that people have engaged themselves, the contestants have engaged themselves, if you ask questions from them they will answer.it is now left for the people who have heard them to take the decision to elect based on what they have heard. We have created this platform for them so they can engage the people that want to represent them. People have often made that mistake of concentrating on the executive alone.”

He added that “We are using this medium to to tell people that the executive is necessary but the legislature have a role to play, a serious one for that matter and we hope that our people will understand this. I want to indulge or beg our people to go out and collect their PVC and ensure they use it to vote. I use to tell people, if you live in a community and you don’t vote, you are only short changing yourself and your children, because government will not know the electoral power of that community. Please get your PVC and vote.”

According to onikuto sodiq abiodun,”I am representing the new Nigeria people’s party and I am running for the position of Lagos State House of assembly Ikorodu constituency 2. I will appreciate the organizers of this event for pulling off this amazing event to have honourables that are willing to represent their constituency to come out to read out their manifesto to people and understand what they have for them and to reiterate on some of the content of the manifesto which is boiling around adequate collaboration with the constituency to have adequate annual or biannual meetings in the constituency in other to ensure that we have feedback from the constituency on how to go about the development of that constituency.”

… PLS Marked birthday with his people

Prince Lanre Sanusi commenced with house to house interaction with the people of the community which he started with Alamuwo of Amuwo Land Oba Isaac Owolabi Olayemi, he pray and give his royal blessings to PLS.

Prince Lanre Sanusi the APC candidate of Amuwo Odofin federal constituency marked his birthday among his people in Amuwo Odofin, Muslim clerics holds a special prayer session for PLS, Amuwo Odofin federal constituency, Lagos State, Nigeria and all APC candidates.

PLS also visit the Oluti CDA, they pledged their hundred percent for Prince Lanre Sanusi, also in attendance the Baale Oluti Chief Bashiru Busari who pray and give his blessings, he also gave assurance that people within his community will vote for Prince Lanre Sanusi, and other APC candidates.

Prince Lanre Sanusi also visited various houses to seek for their support towards the general election, which they were all happy to received him in their homes.

Prince Lanre Sanusi the APC Candidate House of Representatives, Amuwo Odofin visited Prince Ajele popularly known as Ikomodina, and members of branch C of the LASPGM to seek for their support for all APC candidates towards the forthcoming election.

LASPGM Amuwo branch C’ Chairman, Prince Ajele Abeyi Abayomi popularly known as Ikomodina on Tuesday urged his members, market women and artisans to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming general elections.

The Chairman made this known when the APC flag-bearer for House of Representatives, Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency, Prince Lanre Sanusi, PLS paid a courtesy visit with his entourages to Amuwo Mile 2 park, Lagos/Badagry expressway.

“Standing on mandate of our National Leader, the best candidates from the Presidential hopeful, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for second term; the Senatorial candidate, Dr Idiat Adebule; House of Representatives, Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency, Prince Lanre Sanusi, (PLS) and Hon. Folorunsho Olusegun Olaitan, (Ola Western) for Lagos state House Assembly Amuwo Odofin, the people of Mile 2 park Amuwo Odofin will VOTE only APC at the polls.” Ikomodino said.

According to the Branch Chairman, “PLS is connected with the grassroots, he is well-equipped and prepared to provide quality representation for the people of the district. The Vice Chairman Oriade LCDA and Campaign Director General, Prince Lanre Sanusi Campaign Organization, Hon. Moshood Olawale Badmus said PLS is the man of the people, and he has been contributing to the party development, and community needs of the Orilade local council development area and Amuwo Odofin local government.

Badmus stressing that the people should vote en-masse for APC in the forthcoming elections; The people of Mile 2 park should demonstrate, this turn out into their large number of votes.

The campaign Director General called on all LASPGM members to get to the polling both early on the day of elections and translate this turn out into voting victory from the President to Governor, Senator, House of Representatives, and LAHAs.

PLS and Ikomodina used the opportunity to distribute exercise books to the public secondary school students of Amuwo Odofin junior and secondary schools.

Female Professionals donates #1m, furniture materials to Lagos ICC ~Ajasa-Info


The Director General Representatives of Independent Campaign Council (ICC), Tinubu/Shetttima and Sanwo-Olu/Kadiri, have received a cash gift of #1 million via cheque and a complete set of office furniture as donations for the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) presidential and governorship campaign activities towards the 2023 general election.

The Director of Admin. ICC Lagos; Hon. Akin Ibesanmi, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Hon Olumide Olayomi and Director of Logistic of the council, Alh. Solanke received the team of FPS led by it convener, Hon. Omowunmi Ogungbaibi, who at the Campaign office of Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu at GRA Ikeja, Lagos, presented the donations, yesterday.

The complete set of office furniture presented to the Directorates of Administration, ICC, by the Females Professionals for Sanwo-Olu include: a cupboard, chest drawer with table top and three siting chairs.

Others are 15 piece of campaign placards; 15 cartoon of campaign note books, 5 units of campaign roll up banners; 5 units of campaign flex banners, a bundle each of calender and poster.

Meanwhile, Hon. Ibesanmi has expressed gratitude to the donor for her supports.

He said: “With pleasure and gratitude over the monetary gift and the office items received today from the Females Professionals for Sanwo-Olu, we are so happy that the donations are coming at the right time for the right candidates, Asiwaju/Shettima and Gov. Sanwo-Olu/Kadiri. Definitely, the donations would facilitate the victory of our party (APC).

On her part, the convener of FPS, Hon. Ogungbaibi, said the incoming President, Asiwaju Tinubu and his Vice, Sen. Kashim Shettima including the prospective reelected Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat deserved the donations due to their outstanding performances in Lagos State.

She said that her organization can not but contribute its supports owing to the readiness of Female professionals to ensure victory for the ruling party and its candidates vying for different political seats.



The Nupe Community in Lagos State is set to deliver massive number of votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for Second Term and all other candidates of the APC across the State.

Senate Passes Federal High Court Amendment Bill, Franchising Establishment Bill ~Ajasa-Info


The Nigerian Senate today passed the Federal High Court Amendment Bill and Franchising Establishment Bill.

This was after it considered the reports of the Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters on the Federal High Court Act, Cap F12 LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 745) and the Franchising (Establishment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 969.)

The Chairman of the Committee, Distinguished Opeyemi Micheal Bamidele(Ekiti Central) presented the reports during plenary today.

The Federal High Court Act, Cap F12 LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 745) was sponsored by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA and the Deputy Senate President, Senator Ovie Omo Agege while the the Franchising (Establishment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 969) was sponsored by Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA.

The Federal High Court Act, Cap F12 LFN 2004 (Amendment) Bill, 2023 (SB. 745) seeks to amend the Federal High Court Act to address the shortcomings inherent in the Principal Act to make provisions for the regulation of the award of prejudgment interest to ensure the attainment of substantial justice, particularly in relation to claims bothering on commercial transactions and also to increase the number of judges in the Federal High Court.

On the other hand, the Franchising Bill seeks to create a framework for the operation of franchising and to guide the relationship between franchisors and franchisees and for matters connected therewith in order to enhance the economic development of Nigeria.

The objectives of the Bill are to among other things: (a) Regulate and guide the relationship between Franchisors and Franchisees by imposing certain obligations and prohibiting certain actions; (b) Promote the growth of franchising through the adoption of international best practices that balance the interests of franchisors and franchisee; (c) Enhance the capacity of the National Office of Technology Acquisition and Promotion for effective regulation, administration, and enforcement of the provisions of Franchising in this Bill.

The Senate unanimously passed the bills. The passage of both bills today, amendment of the Federal High Court Act has come into force, making provisions for the regulation of the award of prejudgment interest to ensure the attainment of substantial justice, particularly in relation to claims bothering on commercial transactions and to increase the number of justices of the Federal High Court particularly with their increased jurisdiction in respect of electoral matters.

Likewise, the operation of franchising has been strengthened and the relationship between franchisors and franchisees will be properly regulated through the provision of the legal and legislative framework contained therein.

LASWA Begins Water Safety Training and Swimming Lessons for school children in Riverine Public Schools in Epe ~Ajasa-Info


To catch them young and reduce water phobia among Lagosians, the Lagos State Waterways Authority commenced a week-long water safety class and swimming Training for pupils in the riverine communities of of Epe local government.

The swimming training is the 3rd edition of one of LASWA’s advocacy programs tagged” the Lagos Water Savvy Kids Program.”LASWA had partnered with State Universal Basic Education Board SUBEB and the Dolphin Swim School, a premier swim program serving women and children in Lagos state.

Together LASWA, SUBEB and DSS aim to instill water confidence in school pupils by teaching them theoretical and practical knowledge on waterways safety, swimming skills, and basic survival techniques in an emergency.

50 students from five public schools in Riverine Communities at the Epe axis of Lagos were selected to participate in this year’s edition.

With this training, school children using the waterways will be more confident, be conscious of their safety, and be self-reliant in an emergency.
