The Council Leader of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Princess Basirat Adetutu Banjoko, has reaffirmed her commitment to fostering unity, strengthening community engagement, and advancing sustainable development across communities in Ward C1 and the wider council area.

Banjoko made this known during a strategic meeting with executives of CDC Zone 1, led by Pastor Olusola Samson Ogunrinde, and representatives of Community Development Associations (CDAs) in Ward C1, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.

The meeting brought together stakeholders to deliberate on critical issues affecting their communities, identify opportunities for growth, and explore practical solutions aimed at improving the welfare and living conditions of residents. Of the 50 CDAs in Ward C1, representatives from 35 attended the engagement.

According to Banjoko, the gathering provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to discuss challenges confronting their communities and chart a path towards sustainable development through collaboration, strategic planning, and collective action.

She noted that the commitment of community leaders and residents to grassroots participation and community development was evident throughout the deliberations, adding that such engagements remain vital to achieving meaningful progress.

The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Igbogbo/Baiyeku LGA, Hon. Matthew Taiwo Orenuga, whose presence and contributions further enriched the discussions. Stakeholders also acknowledged the leadership of Pastor Olusola Samson Ogunrinde, Chairman of CDC Zone 1, for coordinating efforts aimed at promoting community development.

Banjoko further reiterated support for the administration of the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, noting that his dedication to grassroots development continues to drive progress across communities within the council area.

She emphasized that stakeholders remain committed to strengthening unity, deepening community engagement, and advancing initiatives that will positively impact the lives of residents, while sustaining efforts towards improved welfare and long-term development across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
