In line with the healthcare agenda of the Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba administration, Ijede LCDA in partnership with a non-governmental organization, Hacey Health Initiative, hosted the first edition of the End Malaria outreach programme at the Primary Health Center, Oke-eletu Ijede.

The program was organised to test, screen and examine pregnant and nursing mothers while drugs and medication were prescribed and given out for free.

There was also counseling on the best protective measures from Malaria and distribution of Insecticide treated Mosquito Nets and Malaria drugs.

Present at the event were the Supervisor For Health, Hon. Quadri Gbolahan, MOH, Dr Saheed Tajudeen, Mrs Folashade Aderajo and the officer in charge of the Health center, Mrs Adekemi Hassan.

BUILDER DEOLA BANJO INAUGURATES IKORODU NORTH JOINT TASK FORCE ~Ajasa-Info

The tarred and spacious compound of Ikorodu North LCDA was filled to the brim earlier today as the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo inaugurated the Ikorodu North Joint Task Force.

Divisional Police Officers, officials of the DSS, LNSC, other recognized security apparatus, friends, family and well-wishers of the newly employed officers stormed the headquarters of the LCDA to witness the historic event.

Builder Banjo while giving his welcome address said- “Security of Lives and Property is the primary responsibility of any serious minded government. This is part of our efforts to ensure every residents of Ikorodu North sleep with their two eyes closed and it is a cause my administration is totally committed to”.

Banjoo went further to urge the officers to see this as an opportunity to serve the people and not a means to oppress the people they are meant to protect.

The high point of the event was the parade of the newly inaugurated force members. Everyone present were in awe for the coordination and gallantry of the officers.

The SLG, Ikorodu North LCDA, Mr Niyi Odugbesi thanked the Chairman on behalf of the officers for his commitment and dedication to the realization of the epoch making event.

The Executive Chairman, Iba Lcda, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril, Abila in conjunction with the Unified Local Government Muslim staff Association held its 6th Annual Ramadan Public Lecture on Wednesday, 12th, April 2022 at the Iba Local Council Development Area Secretariat.

The Chief host, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Abila) hosted muslim faithfuls within and outside the community, the management staff, legislature to its 6th annual Ramadan Lecture themed: “Which of the favour of your Lord will you deny?”

The First guest lecturer El-imam Muh Toafeek Haren Arogundade gave a speech on the “Nigerian
Political System: Challenges and Islamic Perspective to Good Governance”
In his speech, he urged all politicians to seek the mercy of God to survive being in politics. He noted that Nigeria is a blessed country with numerous mineral resources. He also condemned the do-or-die and selfish nature of the Nigeria political system and implored them to desist from such destructive/questionable character.

The second guest lecturer Sheik Uthman Saanu Shehu gave a lecture on “Ramadan As a Blessing To Humanity; The Ummah
During and after Ramadan” In his speech he urged Muslim faithfuls to praise God for forgiveness, follow the steps of Allah and Prophet (S.A.W). He also implored them to be careful of things they consume into their stomach.

The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has today signed the year 2023 appropriation bill which he submitted to the legislative arm for their consideration and ratification into law at his office today.

At about 2pm yesterday afternoon, Ikorodu North legislators led by the leader of the house Honourable Ayo Adekoya visited the Chairman to present the budget to him for his assent to become law.

The Chairman, Deola Banjo thanked the legislators for the speedy discharge of their duties on the budget so that work can commence in earnest in delivering more dividends of democracy to the good people of Ikorodu North LCDA.

The legislators also commended the Chairman for his support and exemplary leadership qualities which has guaranteed the peace the Tower of resources has been enjoying in the past six and half years.

The Council secretariat of Ikorodu North LCDA came alive today as political leaders, CDC, CDA executives, Baales and other important stakeholders of the “Tower of resources” stormed the legislative chamber to witness the historic year 2023 budget presentation of Builder Deola Banjo to the legislative chamber.

The budget tagged Budget of all-inclusiveness is aimed at ensuring an all round development in all sectors of the Ikorodu North economy next year.

The Chairman during his address highlighted notable achievements recorded during the year to the excitement of guests seated. He also seized the occasion to thank the legislative and executive arm of government for their cooperation over the years as he urge them to keep up the spirit in the best interest of the LCDA.

Builder Deola equally noted that his administration will not rest on its oars in ensuring that more impactful projects are initiated and executed next year.

The acting leader of the house, Honourable Niran Adeyemi in his speech commended the Chairman for executing projects and programs aimed at directly impacting the lives of the people such as the Owo-Ife Banjo (Banjo’s hand of Love) program in which the chairman gave out cash gift to support widows, SMEs, students and indigents on a monthly basis for five consecutive months.

Political leaders and other stakeholders who spoke to the press expressed satisfaction with the performance of the Chairman so far saying Banjoo is a man that knows his onions.

The above quotes is what has emasculated the thoughts and actions of Hon. Busola Afolabi Ester, the Honourable Councilor, representing the good people of Ward A (Oki/Alagutan) at the current 5th legislative arm of Agbado Okeodo LCDA.

An initiative she conceived immediately she assumed office as the Ward Councilor for Ward A, Oki Alagutan axis.



The program which is targeted at mostly the Widows, Aged, the less privileged and person leaving with Disabilities (PWDs) were elated having the program running for its 2nd year after her assumption in office as the Councilor representing the Area. However, it could be recalled that the 2023 general elections is fast approaching with so many activities outlined for its actualization and for its major contender from the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all other APC Candidates that would per-take in the federal and State elections come next year. The gesture was aimed at reaching out to the people whom she believes are essential part of why she was representing their interest at the Council, “as we can see their is still a lot to be done, but we have started something remarkable which i hope as time advances it will become more elaborate” she added

Hon. Busola, who is also the majority leader of the house is the only female among the Seven Councilors in Agbadookeodo LCDA, she also uses that platform to canvasses for more electorates to go collect their PVCs as that is what would translate into votes ahead of the general elections.

She convey her goodwill message and appreciation to the leaders that graced the occasion, most especially some of the main actors in Agbado/Oke-Odo polity, such as Baba Bakare, Hon. Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA presented 1,887,150,717.81 Year 2023 budget to the council Legislators for approval.

The Council Chairman was able to give a breakdown of what the 2022 budget was used to execute despite the little they got from the internal revenue.

“I want to welcome everyone to this occasion of the presentation of the year 2023 budget to the legislative council.”

“This year 2022 remains a remarkable year in the history of Ijede LCDA as we are able to record significant progress in our drive to affect the lives of our people and community positively.”

“Despite our meager allocation and little internal revenue base, our commitment to our people made us to be very prudent in managing our finances resources and we are therefore able to achieve these results.”

“The renovation of the Library and the Egbin Community Town Hall, Official vehicles for our political office holders, rehabilitation of the Ijede to Oke Eletu Road etc are all evidences of our resolve to bring good governance to our people.
Today I am happy to say that our collective efforts yielded results has we are able to record 80% budget performance this year. Our 2023 budget is tagged ‘Budget Of Distinctive Impact.”

“This is because we are determined not to relentless in our efforts to consolidate on Infrastructural Development, Education, Health and Youth Empowerment etc.”

The total budget size is 1,887,150,717.81

“The analysis as follows; Personnel cost is 840,809,897.05 Overhead expenditure is 581,840,820.76 and total capital expenditure is 464,500,000.

Personnel cost is 44% to budget size, overhead is 31% while capital is 25%

thereby building a legacy that will transcend our administration.”

“I want to sincerely appreciate this legislative council for the smooth working relationship that exist between us and to pray that this cordial relationship will continue so that we can work amicably together to achieve our developmental purposes.”

The Council Leader Hon. Fadeyi Kehinde commend the Executive Chairman and other Executive Members for timely presentation of the year 2023 budget and he gave assurance of quick passage of the budget, as the 2022 budget cover over 80 percentage of its pledge.

Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba the Executive Chairman Ijede LCDA gave out food support to residents of Ijede, the initiative of Ijede Tunrayo Ayo ni temi food support commenced November last year as part of Program line up to mark her 100 days in office.

“I am delighted to welcome everyone to the year 2022 second phase of the Motunrayo Ayonitemi Food Support Innitiative that commenced at the inception of this administration.
This distribution of palliative is a personal initiative for me to affect lives through interventions that would bring relief to the less privileged.”

“While this program can only come twice in a year I want to implore everyone to accept it as a gesture to extend love to all.”

“Since we started last year, we have touched thousands of families particularly the elderly and the physically challenged..I feel therefore fulfilled that this initiative is bringing relief to our people especially at a time like this when the economy of the country is making cost of living high to the average citizen.”

She added “I am particularly happy that this second phase is coming at a season where love and goodwill should be shared to all and I want to use this opportunity to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous year 2023 in advance.

The Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has led the Executive members, legislators, management and relevant staff members of Ikorodu North LCDA to AM to PM hotels, Ijebu Ode to draw up a workable and realistic plan for the next fiscal year which is fast approaching.

Having held the consultative budget stakeholders meeting where every stakeholder of the LCDA stormed the local council to have their inputs in the year 2023 budget. It is time for the Council officials to put heads together to draw up a robust plan that would guide the activities of the “Tower of resources” in year 2023.

The retreat was declared open by the Chairman who is not only a Builder by profession but equally a builder of men and capacity.

In his welcome address, Banjoo reminded the participants of the importance and significance of the retreat and why he has decided to take it to a more cosy environment free from all form of distractions. He reiterated his plans for the people next year and thus solicits the commitment of the internal stakeholders in developing a carefully planned financial guide for the coming year which informed the direction of the theme of the retreat – Budget of All-inclusiveness.

The budget retreat will equally accommodate team bonding programs, lectures and activities that would allow for free flow of ideas.

Bldr. Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA presents N1, 616,442,411.13 Y2023 budget to the council legislators for approval, a fiscal proposal which is 6.5% higher than Y2022 approved budget.

The Executive Chairman, in the presences of the Council Management, Executive members and Stakeholders to the legislatures for scrutiny and approval of the Budget of Continuity and Stability that was professionally prepared based on the yearnings and recommendations of the stakeholders across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA during the stakeholders’ interactive forum held on Monday 7th November 2022.

The Y2022 budget is predicated on the reality of the Nigeria economy with an unwavering focus on upgrading of Igbogbo/Baiyeku primary schools, roads construction and maintenance, drainages, culverts, healthcare system, channelization of canals, and poverty alleviation programmes.
