The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo, Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini presents officials vehicles to the legislatures.

The three Toyota highlander, one Toyota Sienna and One Lexus Jeep were respectively presented by Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, GAC member, Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, Igbogbo/Baiyeku APC LGA Chairman, and Bldr. Olusesan Mayokun Daini to the legislatures.

The Chairman charged them to make judicious use of the vehicles, adding that with the vehicles, they will be able to reach all areas under their jurisdiction and operate more efficiently.

While performing the ceremony at Igbogbo/Baiyeku ultramodern office complex, Bldr. Olusesan Daini said the primary objective for the procurement and presentation of official vehicles is to make movement for legislatures easy to deliver their legislative duties, having easy access the nook and cranny of their wards.


Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun however in his speech said the presentation of the vehicles comes in at the most appropriate time and it is certain that the vehicles will help in making governance and political movement smooth.

He further noted that APC is a united family and division (in the name groups) must not be entertained.

Honorable Nurudeen Alowole Alimi, leader of the house spoke on behalf of the entire Councilors; he expressed their gratitude towards the Executive Chairman for making the vehicles presentation a possibility; he also said, legislative responsibilities will be made easy with the vehicles.

The vehicles were blessed for smooth and accident free movements.



The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has again displayed his love for his people with his continuous act of benevolence in various capacities to support families within Ikorodu North LCDA.

Earlier today at the Local Government secretariat, Isiu, the caring Chairman distributed GCE forms for qualified students as a form of support to their families to enable them partake in the forthcoming senior secondary certificate examinations.

The Executives, legislators and management members of Ikorodu North joined the Chairman to distribute the form after which registration of the forms commenced immediately at the same venue.

The parents of the beneficiaries thank the Chairman profusely saying he has made an indelible mark in their lives.

The students equally took turn to appreciate the Chairman promising to come out in flying colours in the examination.




The management of Ikorodu North LCDA has partnered with the international company Kimberly-Clark to bring hygiene to the grassroot through the Water aid project which is intended to ensure public places have access to clean and portable water.

In line with the objectives of the partnership, Ikorodu North LCDA will provide water to public facilities that does not have water within Ikorodu North while Kimberly-Clark would provide toilet buildings for the places.

An agreement that has seen Ikorodu North commence fulfilling this obligation by providing borehole water system to Omolaiye PHC and Lambo Lasunwon primary health care centres in the take-off phase of the project.


The Chairman, Builder Deola Banjo believes the provision of such facility will help to promote good hygiene that will in turn drive behavioural change among residents in line with the vision of the project.

In the coming days, identified public places that lacks good water systems such as School, religious places and motor parks will benefit from the initiative.



The Executive Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA, Builder Deola Banjo has laid the foundation for an ultra-modern market at Isiu yesterday 8th of September 2022.

The Chairman alongside members of his Executive council and legislative arm of Ikorodu North LCDA observed the block- laying ceremony in the presence of the Eweye of Isiu land, Oba David Kayode Raji.

Banjo while addressing the gathering expressed his unreserved joy for the commencement of the project saying it is aimed at boosting the social and economic development of the ancient town.

The Eweye of Isiu land, Oba David Kayode Raji equally performed the block laying exercise while he also blessed the project for its official commencement.

The market when completed will have stalls for traders, a befitting toilet and adequate security.



Hon. Bola Adaramola has bagged children as she celebrates her one year in office of being the Councillor of Odogunyan ward E1 Ikorodu North LCDA at odonla town hall on September 1st 2022.

She appreciates everyone present at the event , expresses her gratitude to them for their constant support and mentions that she does not take it for granted and she expresses her utmost concern and interest for the children.
“Being the councilor, I have tried to give back to the community by facilitating over 30 medical and hoc staff for polio vaccine for children at various time, facilitated the grading of roads such as aliu street, olasoji street unity street , ibironke street, 174 army barrack border, ita oloja and many more”.

“ I will be facilitating owoife for our petty traders soon, repair the public boreholes and solar lights, empowerment and training for our youths, sponsorship of oba ayangburen spelling bee competition and the construction of link bridge from odogunyan to agbede among many others”she said.

…Seeks Attitudinal Change On Disposal of Refuse
Residents of Lekki and Ibeju-Lekki Local Council Development Areas, have been advised to acquire waste bins for packaging their waste pending evacuation by the PSP operators.

The Managing Director/CEO of the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Mr. Ibrahim Odumboni, counselled members of the public during stakeholders’ meetings in different Council Secretariats within the Lekki axis.

Odumboni, who was represented at both events by LAWMA’s Executive Director of Finance, Mr. Kunle Adebiyi, stated that a major cause of waste migration and indiscriminate disposal is the non-availability of bins in most homes, warning that abatement notices would soon be served on defaulting homes while prosecution follows early next year.

“Ownership of waste bins is a must for all homes and defaulters will soon get abatement notices, to be followed later by the prosecution from January next year”, he said.
The LAWMA helmsman also appealed to residents to change their attitude as recyclable waste is a source of income, urging Lagosians to cultivate the habit of waste sorting from source in order to reduce the volume of waste going to the landfills.

His words: “We have the mandate to visit all the 57 Local Governments and Local Council Development Areas of the State, and that is why we have come to your community, to sensitise and enlighten you on the importance of proper waste management. Effective waste management in your community can help prevent the spread of diseases such as cholera, typhoid, Lassa fever e.t.c. in your environment, hence, the need to have a bin in your homes, to shut out rodents getting in contact with your waste, and also to aid easy evacuation by PSP operators”.

Charging the Councils to mobilise the youths in their communities for local policing of blackspots and apprehending defaulters caught dumping waste indiscriminately, Odumboni pointed out that there is value in items discarded in homes, such as cans, papers, cartons, pet bottles, glass etc.


He advised residents to sort waste properly before disposal and use the PAKAM APP to request the pickup of recyclables.
In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government (LCDA, Mr. Sesan Olowa, commended the efforts of the Authority towards ensuring a cleaner environment, especially on the road medians, adding that the stakeholders’ meeting would bring a mutually rewarding benefit.

“I got the idea of Cleaner Lagos from LAWMA and decided to replicate it in Ibeju Lekki. So far, we have employed about 300 sweepers and 30 gardeners, who help in keeping our environment clean. Also, I have mobilised youths in the community to police blackspots and arrest violators caught dumping waste indiscriminately. These youths were specially trained by LAWMA on waste policing and arrest of violators”, he said.

Olowa added that the task force has been effective and defaulters are being arrested and fined appropriately.
On his part, Chairman, Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Mr. Bamidele Kasali, commended the authority for ensuring a livable environment, urging members of his community to appreciate the services of LAWMA by patronising assigned PSP operators and paying their waste bills promptly.

“I believe your visit to our community will be of benefit to us. I commend the efforts that LAWMA has put in place to ensure our environment is always clean. I also appeal to the members of the community to reciprocate the services of LAWMA, by ensuring that they pay their waste bills promptly”, he said.

In attendance were senior Council functionaries, traditional rulers and senior LAWMA staff including Assistant General Manager, Performance Management, Mrs. Bimbo Opayemi; District Head West II, Mrs. Tawa Oyekanmi and District Head East II, Mrs. Bola Adewunmi, among others.



Today, 1st September 2022, Bldr. Olusesan M. Daini flagged off second edition of Free Fibroids Surgeries in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA.
The first edition of the exercise was conducted for five (5) women in April this year while another five (5) women will equally benefit from this second edition.

The visibly elated Council Boss, Bldr. Olusesan Daini expressed gratitude towards God Almighty for making first edition of the exercise a success and making provisions available for the second edition. He equally thanked Dr. Leke Dankuwo and Dr. Andu for their commitment to touch lives and partner with him to save lives.

He as well said “I am specially happy because the previous free surgery was successful and one of the beneficiaries is pregnant.”

He further noted that none of the surgery’s beneficials was ever known or seen by him before and after the successful surgeries; giving credence to the transparent nature of the process by the doctors. He then reiterated his promise that exercise will be carried out every quarter.

In his speech, The Council Manager, Mr. Akeem Akinsaya said the executive Chairman is actually not funding the project from the LCDA’s treasury but from his personal savings.

The HRM Oba Semiudeen Kazali, Adeboruwa of Igbogbo kingdom ably represented by the Iyalode of Igbogbo kingdom, Mrs Karimot commended the Executive Chairman for his compassionate leadership and saving lives.

Hon. Taiwo Orenuga, APC LGA Chairman, APC LGA woman leader, Mrs Esther Obayomi (Iya forum) gave words of encouragement and commendation.

Hon Wasiu Adeleke Balogun, the youngest Councillor in Lagos State representing Ward B, Bariga Local Council on Thursday, 18th August, 2022 commissioned his constituency office also empowered 30 members of his constituency with Point of Sale (POS) machines.

Speaking at the event, the youngest Councillor, Hon Wasiu, said the reason for the constituency office is for easy accessibility and flow of information.

“This phenomenal advance in grassroots democratisation is in response to the comments and observations of our people, particularly during the last council elections, to the effect that many citizens do not know the councillors in their wards as well as their roles. Many of those who know the councillors and understand their role complain that they do not have access to them. Therewith, prompted this constituency office for robust engagements and collectivism.”

While speaking on the empowerment, he said, when people are fruitfully engaged, reasonably empowered and gainfully employed, unemployment level would reduce, the rate of crimes committed within the community will be drastically reduced, economic activities would be boosted and socio-economic developed would be guaranteed.

He added that, the programme is also to give back to the people of his ward and to also spread prosperity while emphasizing that beneficiaries should take Maximal use of the Point of Sale (POS) machines.

He concluded by thanking the people of his ward for their support, since his emergence as the Councillor of the ward.

The Leader of the House, Hon Temitope Okanlawo delivered the opening speech on behalf of the Council Chairman, Hon Kolade David Alabi, he said, the purpose of having constituency office is to cushion the effect of the Council proximity to the ward. It will avail the people of the ward to table down their views, which the Councillor can present to the Council Chairman.


Hon Akin Mejolagbe and Hon Bukola Adedeji the LGA Chairman and the Secretary to the Local Government respectively in turn advised the beneficiaries on better usage of the empowerment POS machines.

In the remarks of The Hon. Adeniran Adeyemi ward E3 Councillor “My Good Chairman has been doing this across the wards in his administration and today is the turn of my ward, which I have the privilege to monitor the benefactors of this empowerment”.

“Infact my expectation is that the Chairman will postpone the empowerment for this month due to some reasons but not until he called me that it’s the turn of my ward so I need to go out and look for people that are in needy and have small scale business that they engaged themselves with.

“I thank God that I was picked and select the best people for this empowerment and I believe if this set of people utilize the money in a better way the Chairman will continue his Empowerment to the people of Ikorodu North.”

Adeniran make it clear to everyone that the Chairman is trying all his possible best to make sure his community is one of the best and he can’t do it alone, that is why everybody needs to join hands together to work with him which he listed the achievement of the Chairman: Empowerment, Building of Police post, Revenue Bus, E-payment launching, Drainage among others.

In the remarks of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA Builder Deola Banjo “I appreciate everyone of you for showing up at this program, though the money we want to give you might not be enough but I will implore you the benefactors of this program you should make sure the money is used on your various business”


“The reason I am doing this is I am not happy with what the people were facing and it’s not only in our Country but everywhere around the world so this prompt me to empower my people with the little way i can, and I believe my administration will keep doing the good deed for the people.”

“We don’t select people based on party or tribe, we picked randomly and I prayed this money will change the there life after using the money for there business” He added

The Supervisor for Information Hon. Sulaimon in his remarks he encouraged the beneficiaries to spend the money for the purpose of the program and he promised that the chairman will continue doing his best to satisfy the people he is representing.

The benefactor also appreciate the chairman and his team for what they did for them and they also promise to make sure they will use the money for the purpose of why empower them.
