The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaq Kasali, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing security across the council area through closer collaboration with grassroots security stakeholders.

Kasali made this known during a strategic meeting with members of the Forest Guards, Olokun Boys, Vigilante Group, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and Neighborhood Watch teams, where discussions centered on strengthening security architecture within Lekki LCDA.

The chairman described the security operatives as critical partners in safeguarding lives and property, noting that their deep understanding of the local terrain and communities makes them indispensable in the fight against crime and other security challenges.

According to him, the meeting focused on identifying the operational needs of the various security groups, improving their welfare, and exploring measures that would enhance their effectiveness in carrying out their duties.

As part of efforts to boost safety within educational institutions, Kasali also announced plans to deploy security personnel to public schools across Lekki LCDA. He explained that the initiative is aimed at providing additional protection for pupils, students, teachers, and school facilities.

The chairman emphasized that ensuring a safe learning environment remains a priority of his administration, adding that proactive security measures are essential to fostering peace and development within the council area.

He reiterated the council’s commitment to working closely with all security stakeholders to build a safer and more secure Lekki LCDA for residents and visitors alike.
