. . . commends Ex-Super Eagles Stars for Honouring Asiwaju Tinubu’s 70th Birthday with a Novelty Match

The Indomitable Tinubu Support Organisation (ITSO), a political support initiative for the actualization of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has stated that Tinubu’ s immense individual positive contribution to sports development in the country explains why sports administrators and stars are expressing their support for his presidential ambition, just as they commend the Ex-Super Eagles players for honouring him with a novelty match in commemoration of his 70th birthday.
The group in a statement signed by its Director General, Hon. Abdoulbaq Ladi Balogun, recalled, as confirmed by Nwankwo Kanu, that in year 2000 when the Kanu Heart Foundation was looking for support it was Asiwaju that came to their rescue through the donation of funds that guaranteed the existence of the foundation.
“As we have heard testimonies of the contribution of Tinubu to sports development in the country from the Ex- Super Eagles stars during their visit, we assure that the God-given talents and energy of Nigerian Youths will be adequately harnessed and nurtured for productive engagements, human capital development and economic prosperity with the presidency of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu from May 2023”.
The group noted, in the statement, that Tinubu as Governor of Lagos State put in place policies and programmes that ensured sports development and re-invigorated the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Social Development enabling Lagos athletes to excel in various competitions home and abroad.
While urging stakeholders in different sectors to express their support for Tinubu to ensure rapid economic and social development for the country the group assured that the rapid transformation witnessed in Lagos will be replicated all over Nigeria within a short period of his presidency.
It will be recalled that Ex- Super Eagles over the weekend paid a courtesy visit to Asiwaju Tinubu extolling his virtues and praying for his emergence as president in 2023. Prominent among the Ex-Super Eagles Stars were Nwankwo kanu, Taribo West, J.J Okocha, Peter Rufai among others.
