The Independent Campaign Council for Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat (ICC) welcomed with enthusiasm the support of Shuwa Arab leaders in Lagos State for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Next President of Nigeria and the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The Director General of the ICC, Mr Tayo Ayinde thanked the gathering for deeming it fit to visit the campaign office. He affirmed that the ICC has unflinching trust in the commitment of the Shuwa Arab people and that the Shuwa Arab has consistently aligned with the All Progressives Congress.
The leadership of the Shuwa Arab presented an award of recognition to the Director General for his tenacity in supporting the cause of the people of North west in Lagos State, especially the Shuwa Arab people.
Alhaji Umaru Gulumba, the leader of Shuwa Arab in Lagos State appreciated the ICC leadership for the warm reception accorded them. He announced that the Northern people in Lagos have enjoyed the support of the State Government. He assured the ICC leadership of massive votes from his people.

The Lagos State Taxi Drivers and Cab Operators Association endorsed the Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and they reaffirmed their support for the second term bid of Gov. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
The Taxi Drivers executives from across the state converged on the Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) Office, located at 58/60 Oduduwa Crescent, GRA Ikeja to make this all-important declaration today the 20th January, 2023.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC), Cardinal James Odunmbaku popularly known as Baba Eto praised the courageous nature of the taxi drivers and their untiring commitment to the progressive ideology. He assured the taxi drivers of government support in making life better.
Baba Eto reiterated the conviction of the party leadership that an Asiwaju Presidency is destined to bring great and positive change to Nigeria.
On his part, the President of Lagos State Association of Taxi Drivers and Cabs Operators, Otunba Taiwo Omolekan thanked the ICC leadership for the warm reception accorded them.
He assured the leadership that their members across the state are ready for the Presidential and Governorship elections, and they are pushing for the All-Progressive Congress candidates at all levels.

The Ebira Community in Lagos were received by the Directorate of Ethnic Nationalities of the Tinubu/Shettima and Sanwo/Hamzat Independent Campaign Council (ICC) at their secretariat, 58/60 Oduduwa Crescent, GRA Ikeja.
The DG of ICC and Chief of Staff of Lagos State, Mr. Tayo Ayinde assured the gathering that the Government of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu has delivered on his campaign promises and he is ready to do more. He submitted that an Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the presidency remains the answer to the many agitations in the country.
He therefore appealed to the gathering to give their votes in all to the party candidates, stating from the presidential candidate to the State House of Assembly.
The Director of the Directorate, Hon. Wale Adelana admonished all not to relent in their efforts to ensure victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu and all other candidates of the party.

The Independent Campaign Council (ICC) working for election of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the re-election of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos State has launched a data driven campaign strategy to ensure the success of the party in the State.
The support group said it would leave no stone unturned in galvanising and mobilising the electorate at the grassroots level in order to deliver five million votes promised the APC candidate in next month’s presidential election.
At its inaugural meeting held in Alausa on Wednesday, the group’s Director General, Mr. Tayo Ayinde, charged members of all directorates to intensify their activities across the local councils, while using the ICC structure to promote the party’s achievements.
The meeting, attended by directors of all the directorates within the group, was chaired by the ICC chairman, Cardinal James Odunmbaku, popularly known as Baba Eto.
Ayinde, who is the Chief of Staff to Governor Sanwo-Olu, said the selection and appointment of the directorates’ leaders was based on the testimony of their loyalty to APC and their capacity to deliver their polling units.
The group’s Director General said the ICC would be adopting a bottom-up approach to garner support for the APC’s candidates, as direct response to the evolving voter demographics and electoral rules.
He reminded the ICC directors that stakes were higher, because of the desperation of the opposition parties to use “cheap blackmail and empty rhetoric” to hoodwink undecided voters.
Ayinde said: “APC has a pedigree of incomparable electoral success in Lagos, which has become the home of progressive politics in the federation. The party’s electoral successes have also been matched with trail-blazing, proactive governance for the common good of the majority of the citizens since 1999. The current responsibility of ICC is to take the messages of ‘Awa lo kan’ and ‘a Greater Lagos Rising’ to every nook and cranny of Lagos, to every stakeholder, to every voting block and every voter.
“Our campaign must be robust, enlightening, issues-based and focussed on competence, pedigree, the need for structural continuity and public trust. Our products are not only good but they are the best. The manifesto and programmes of our candidates are already available to the public as reference and tool for selling them to the electorate. Like every good product, we have a responsibility to soft-sell our candidates to Lagosians by highlighting their competences and promises.
“We are not unmindful of the fact that there is a big gap to fill between our existing electoral results and the current target. There is a big gap between the previous data of registered voters, active voters and the current equivalents. We are determined to run a data-driven campaign towards retaining our core voters, identifying undecided voters and bridging the gap for the success of APC in Lagos. We shall assign, record and review our activities to ensure this objective is realised.”
The ICC Director General, however, hailed APC campaign council for its commitment towards promoting the party’s successes.
Ayinde dismissed the notion that the ICC was initiated to work at cross purposes with the APC campaign council structure in the State, noting that the independent group and the party were not in competition except working in complementary roles to achieve the same objective.
He said many of the ICC directors were party leaders, while the field officers selected to work in the directorates belonged to various grassroots organisations.
The Director General charged them to adopt effective strategies and tactics to reach out to potential voters.
…Urges Lagosians to vote Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat for second term
All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called on Nigerians not to allow the Peoples Democratic Party anywhere near the Nigeria’s commonwealth again because of the destruction the party wrought on the country.
Tinubu made the call on Saturday in Lagos at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere venue of APC Presidential Campaign’s mega rally where he also recalled how Lagos gave him a chance to deploy his talents for national progress and preservation of progressive politics.
“I thank the Almighty Allah and the good people of Lagos State for a place to stand, from which I could deploy my talents to mobilise like-minded Progressives to defend this great city.”
The APC Presidential candidate said his party’s campaign is a broom revolution, and invoking the spirit of his late mother, Alhaja Abibatu Mogaji, the Iyaloja-General, he followed up with a folksong, singing in Yoruba, “Dagunro o se je, Tinubu o se pa,” meaning literally that he can not be killed.
Tinubu said he would continue with progressive government where Nigerians will not be forgotten in education, healthcare and employment generation.
The former Lagos State governor who spoke partly in Yoruba took a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, describing him a veteran aspirant who should go home and rest.
“Atiku contested in SDP, he contested in PDP; he contested in ACN when we rescued him from Obasanjo. Now he is contesting again in PDP. He should go home and rest,” adding that Nigerians should never allow him and his party near the country’s commonwealth.
“Atiku has been running. Use your PVC to vote him and his party out. Use your votes to retire him permanently this time. We must never again allow the rapacious and visionless gang of Peoples Destroying People to come near our commonwealth again. They were in government for 16 years, they didn’t remember Badagry Expressway, they didn’t remember East-West Road, they didnt remember 2nd Niger Bridge.”
To underscore his support across the country, Tinubu noted that Governors of Kano, Kastina, Kaduna, Kwara, Kebbi and other APC Governors were with him unlike his opponent who could not hold his party together.
Tinubu again used the opportunity of the rally to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for his commitment to the development of Nigeria and Lagos State.
“I specially thank President Muhammadu Buhari for the unprecedented Federal support and commitment to Lagos State. We have come a long way from Presidents whose sole obsession was to capture or conquer Lagos in do-or-die fashion, to a President who loves the state greatly and is keen to see it do very well.
“Lagos has benefited tremendously in terms of infrastructure development, whether it is the Lagos-Ibadan Railway line, or the Apapa-Oshodi-Oworonsoki Expressway, the revamped National Theatre, the new International Airport Terminal or the support that has made the Lekki Deep Sea Port possible and the Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Plant, as well as the Red Line of the Lagos Metro, which is sharing part of the Federal corridor,” he said.
Addressing the massive rally on the importance of sustaining the progressive governance in Lagos State, Tinubu urged Lagosians to vote for Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu and his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, for second term.
“Dear Lagosians, my appeal to you today, is to ask you to renew the mandate of Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat for another 4 years. Do not let the execution and implementation of the bold vision of more than two decades be aborted or suspended.”
For the stability of Lagos State, Asiwaju Tinubu called on the youths and students to vote for Sanwo-Olu and Hamzat.
“The lives of over 22 million people are too important to be subjected to tragic experiments in the hands of kindergarten politicians. Babajide Sanwo-olu and Obafemi Hamzat have been schooled in the finest tradition of people-management and development planning.”

Governor Bagudu who spoke on behalf of the 22 APC Governors thanked the Lagos governor for the successful rally.
“Our party leadership and governors believe in Asíwájú and for the right reasons. The world economy has been challenged, Nigeria inclusive. We need someone of Asíwájú’s standing and pedigree to take over to help the country wade through,” he said.
Speaker Gbajabiamila commended Asíwájú for his investment in human capacity, saying he has developed more people than any others.
“There is a lot to be said about Asíwájú. He is the most investigated Nigerian and nothing has been found against him. “
The DG of the campaigns, Hon. Lalong said Asíwájú Tinubu has the character and capacity to lead Nigeria and ensure equity and justice to all parts of the country, adding that with Asíwájú and Shettima, Nigerians would have no cause to regret.

A lot of aspirants are in the race for different reasons, some were pushed into the race for selfish agenda of the few powerful people in the country, some obtained and submitted the N100MN nomination forms to secure a seat at the negotiating table to be able to negotiate their retention in power by all means, some are in the race to revive their downward trending economic status, some are in the race to revive their dying, failed or bankrupt business venture, some were in the race maybe the anointing power of Mr. President will eventually fall on them even when they have no political structure whatsoever to win majority offices for APC in their various states or regions, some were lured into the race by promises of some powerful people in the system to secure President Buhari’s anointment for them, even some of the pretenders have opposition parties ruling in their state, yet they want to be president under the platform of APC because they have some millions of naira notes to throw about, while only one or two are in the race because of their patriotism, seeking to offer their services for the improvement of the socioeconomic development of our dear country and people therein with their experience, vision, confidence and capacity to lead and govern excellently well.
At this critical time of our Nation, we need a President that is well prepared and will comfortably pick the gauntlet, roll his sleeves and begin to change the fortune of our dear country immediately he gets to office.
For the sake of our nation and numerous poor masses, President Mohammodu has the moral burden to have a preferred candidate that few people cannot cage for their selfish agenda, a preferred candidate that can build and improve on his achievements, a preferred candidate that understand the social and structural terrain of our country and the dynamics of our economics for national security, growth & development, a preferred candidate that has the experience, confidence, vision and capacity with tested and trusted antecedents to change the bad fortune of our dear country for better among the comity of the nations of the World and a preferred candidate that can unite us. President Muhammodu Buhari must patriotically put the interest of Nigerians above any other individual and interest of few powerful people in having a preferred candidate.
Our great party, APC if looking towards a consensus candidate must do so beyond selfish agenda of some few who are hellbent on destroying the tenets of democracy, equity & justice in our party for their self fortune and personal aggrandisement.
APC must consider the fortunes of the numerous party men & women who didn’t benefit any fortune whatsoever from outgoing administration of the APC and looks towards a consensus candidate that understand the reward mechanism that is hugely lacking in our party and will be ready to correct it. A consensus candidate that will ensure fair play and adequate rewards for the efforts and loyalty of numerous party faithfuls.
APC must consider a consensus candidate that is widely acceptable to Nigerian electorates of different classes, the masses, the downtrodden, the unemployed, the unemployable, students, young Nigerians who have lost interest and hope in the country, the rich, the poor, the elite, the middle class, the market men & women, labour unions, civil societies and the workers.
APC must consider a consensus candidate that has the record and has been working assiduously and effortlessly for the growth and deepening of democracy and its principles in Nigeria.
APC must consider a consensus candidate that can seamlessly win election for our party in the upcoming 2023 general elections with his personal network, net worth, political structure and infrastructure.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best man Nigeria needs at this critical time because of his experience, God given ability to identify talents, antecedents of sterling qualities of performances, tested and trusted leadership qualities, detribalization, patriotism, capacity, vision, confidence, network, ability to deliver on good governance deliverables, political structure, political networks, political net worth, huge political infrastructure and wide acceptability among Nigerians.
As our great party APC is closing on choosing its presidential candidate with the much touted President’s preferred candidate, though respect for the wishes of the majority of party members through internal democracy of direct or indirect primaries that will give the party faithfuls the sense of belongings and participation as politicians is the best and acceptable method to elect our presidential candidate, the way we did for President Muhammodu Buhari in Lagos convention in 2014 as our party candidate then.
However, if patriotism, national growth, development and good governance for Nigerians are the factors driving the preference of President Buhari for a candidate, then Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the most suitable to be his preferred candidate and if seamless winning of election without hassle, workable reward mechanism for the party faithfuls, retention of power at the centre, development of progressive party and if worthy and adequate dividends of democracy for Nigerians are the factors driving our party’s consensus move, then Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the indisputable fact, incontestable, point and incontrovertible answer to the questions of Buhari’s preference and APC consensus.
However, if one of the numerous aspirants is bold enough to refuse the undemocratic word called consensus, then party primaries is the way to go for fairness, equity, justice and to safe the pride of our great party.

A group under the aegis, Asiwaju Project Beyond 2023 has declared that Ahmed Tinubu has the capacity and network to turn Nigeria into an economic hub of Africa and the World at large.
Noting that Tinubu has all it takes to turn Nigeria around if he becomes the president, the group added that he has the ability to replicate, in the nation, the achievements he recorded while he was the Lagos State Governor.
The group’s National Director, Media and Publicity, Comrade Adeboye Adebayo, revealed this recently at the formal inauguration of national executive committee, state project coordinators and commissioning of the digital secretariat of the group.
The event, held on the 25th of March, 2022, at the digital Secretariat, Maitama, Abuja.
Adebayo said, “We’ve seen many support groups standing for Tinubu, but project beyond 2023 is outstanding in its operational frame work, in what we’ve done, what we’re doing and what we intend to do. As a support group, we’ve spoken to over two thousand delegates, we had a robust conversation with them via phone calls.
“We’ve launched a call centre, which was established last week, and this enabled our ladies to get into deep conversation with our distinguish delegates from each state of the Federation. We welcome them to Abuja on the platform of our party, on behalf our principal, and we encourage them to have a good stay in Abuja.
“We’ve also ensured there’s a working transportation system that can pick people from Airport and hotels to the convention ground.
We’ve put in place logistic system for all delegates coming to Abuja, to have ease of movement and navigation while in the city of Abuja.
“Another thing that distinguishes us from other groups is that we are strategic thinkers. We’re launching some educative events on the 15th of April for the Youths Nationwide like the Director General mentioned. This will give our youths a wide range of opportunity to engage with His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, ask him what he has in stock to solve the problems and challenges confronting them.
“Today (25th of March), we received in attendance for the commissioning of our Secretariat and inauguration of National Committee, the Hon. Speaker Gbajabiamila represented by Hon Ademorin Kuye, the former Governor of Borno State Alhaji Shettima Kashim, Senator Abu Ibrahim from Kastina South, among other notable dignitaries. Our National and state executives have been inaugurated.

“This is a unique event and we’re happy to witness it because people came in large numbers to show their love and support for Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu.”
Speaking about what Project Beyond 2023 stands for, Adeboye said, “This group isn’t about campaigning for our principal alone, by 2023 when Asiwaju resumes office as the President of Nigeria, we will be here to support his Government In terms of research, documentation, policy and principles.
“We must have gathered a lot of ideas, information about the plights and agitations of the people. So, we will be here to remind the Government to work with them and to remind them in terms of feed back mechanism.
“The project is beyond 2023 because we will still be here to use every mechanism that we have to support the Government of Asiwaju as the President of Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
While speaking about other aspirants jostling for the Presidential ticket, he said, “Tinubu is still the best among all, he has all it takes. He has done it in Lagos State. You can see what Asiwaju has turned Lagos to.
“He has the capacity and the network to turn Nigeria into an economic hub of Africa and the world at large.
As we speak now, the table is turning towards Africa. The economic table of the world is turning towards Africa. We need to encourage a man that can do this intellectually, knowledge wise and with wisdom.”
Meanwhile, the Director of Mobilisation for the group, Northern region, Hajia Muhammad Halimot Bababubu from Niger state, disclosed that Asiwaju is a leader and a role model. “I grew up to hear much amazing things about him. I’ve been into this project just because of the love and passion i have for him. I believe by the way he was able to change the situation of Lagos State, Nigeria will go a long way with him,” she said.
Also speaking, Benue State Coordinator, Chief Ogbu Ego, described Asiwaju as a rare gem with rare leadership qualities that “we all deserve in Nigeria. “He has manifested it in Lagos. We see it that he can replicate it for the whole Nigeria. He has the idea, capacity and strength to get the best results,” he said.
Also, the Director, Zonal mobilisation for Southwest, Ganiyu Shittu, revealed the joy he encountered during the course of the event. He said, “We thank God we were able to achieve this height, and we’re looking forward to a bigger one. Asiwaju is a leader to all leaders in the country. We’re behind him, and the presidential ticket to contest under the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC) will not elude him.”
