Rep. Babajimi Benson member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency took the gospel of Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the Redeem Christian Church of God RCCG, The Overcomers’ Place – Region 26 Headquarter in Ikorodu, yesterday 5th of March.
He addressed members of the church, he appreciate them for their support in the Presidential election saying that Ikorodu had the highest vote for APC in the whole of Lagos State.
He said, “I bring greetings from the Governor and from the Ikorodu federal constituency, we say a big thank you for last week election because Ikorodu had the highest vote for APC in the presidential election. The Governor sent us to say a big thank you and to seek for more assistance in the coming Governorship and House of Assembly Election also to seek your blessings.”
“I can see they are some POP project that the church needs myself, the Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and the General Manager of Public Works will work together to get it done”, he said.
Pastor Dele Olowookere the Head Pastor of the Church said, “On behalf of the Redeem Christian church of God the Overcomers’ place, we are not the only church but the Governor had us in mind to come and visit us, we say a big thank you, the church has members of different political parties, but we know that the Governor has done well for the past four years and what he has done is very visible.”
“And if someone does really well, he should be allowed to participate again. We want to assure you that we will be praying for him that God will support him fervently. We want to also tell you that some of our members are also part of this party as well and they will help in doing some of the grassroots work.”
Rep. Babajimi Benson however honored the men of God and the church by kneeling down to receive their blessings.
President Muhammadu Buhari heartily congratulates the winner of the (2023) Presidential Election, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Reacting to the results just announced, President Buhari said:
“I congratulate His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory. Elected by the people, he is the best person for the job. I shall now work with him and his team to ensure an orderly handover of power.
“The election was Africa’s largest democratic exercise. In a region that has undergone backsliding and military coups in recent years, this election demonstrates democracy’s continued relevance and capability to deliver for the people it serves.
“Within Nigeria, the results reveal democracy’s ripening in our country. Never has the electoral map shifted so drastically in one cycle. In the presidential elections, states in all regions across the nation changed colour. Some amongst you may have noticed my home state amongst them. The winning candidate did not carry his own home state either. That happens during a competitive election. Votes and those that cast them cannot be taken for granted. Each must be earned. Competition is good for our democracy. There is no doubt the people’s decision has been rendered in the results we look at today.
“That is not to say the exercise was without fault. For instance, there were technical problems with electronic transmission of the results. Of course, there will be areas that need work to bring further transparency and credibility to the voting procedure. However, none of the issues registered represent a challenge to the freeness and fairness of the elections.
“I know some politicians and candidates may not agree with this view. That too is fine. If any candidate believes they can prove the fraud they claim is committed against them, then bring forward the evidence. If they cannot, then we must conclude that the election was indeed the people’s will – no matter how hard that may be for the losers to accept. If they feel the need to challenge, please take it to the courts, not to the streets.
“However, to do the latter means they are not doing it in the interest of the people, but rather to inflame, to put people in harm’s way and all for personal, selfish gains.
“After a degree of polarization that necessarily accompanies any election, it is now time to come together and act responsibly. I call on all candidates to remember the peace pledge they signed just days before the election. Do not undermine the credibility of INEC. Let us now move forward as one. The people have spoken.”

All is set for the grand finale of the All Progressives Congress- APC- Presidential Campaign on Tuesday in Lagos – home of the presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Tinubu Brigade, a support group, ably led by Hon. Balogun Mutairu for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential aspiration has embarked on market storm campaign in two major markets in Ifako- Ijaiye Local Government for all candidates of All Progressives Congress APC.
The market storm campaign was conducted in Balogun Market and Ishaga market, with flyers and how to vote APC materials being used to educate market men and women.
The campaign train move throughout the entire market and the adjoining streets, of Lawanson Awolumate, Oguntade, Akanni, Omo-Ojuile, Balogun Road and others.

The Association of Hoteliers in Lagos State today declared their support for the presidential bid of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the re-election of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in the coming general elections.
This declaration was made in a well-attended event on the ground of the Independent Campaign council on 58/60 Oduduwa Crescent GRA, Ikeja today the 18th January, 2023.
The Chief of Staff to the Governor of Lagos State who also doubles as the Director General of the ICC acknowledged the receipt of the association’s 11-points request. He assured the Association that the ICC will make sure their request is granted.
He noted that the current Government ably led by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu will continue to create enabling environment for all business interest including the hospitality and tourism sector.
He went further to inform the gathering that President Muhammed Buhari will be visiting Lagos State before the end of the month to commission Lekki Deep Sea Port, The Imota Rice Mill, the Blue Line Rail (Phase 1), He says Mr Governor has achieved these because of his ability to engineer a robust system for the state.
Mr. Tayo Ayinde also told the gathering that the wonders that are seeing in Lagos are attributed to the visionary of our generation, the man Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He said this is why all of us should get our PVCs and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and for the re-election of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.
On his part the president of the association in Lagos State, Chief Oluomo Jamiu Talabi noted that the members of the association, though non-partisan, are supporting the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s mandate as well as the re-election bid of Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu in the coming elections. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA at the APC Lagos East Mega Rally today wowed constituents, members and supporters of the ruling party in the Lagos East Senatorial District with his sterling achievements in the last two years.
The #DoingGood Senator who addressed teeming members and supporters of the party at Ikorodu Town Hall, the venue of the mega rally enjoined electorate in Lagos East to re-elect him in 2023, stressing that he had delivered on the promises he made in 2020 when he was seeking their mandate.
He said, “For the past 24 months, we have been able to record modest achievements with the profound support of our people and indeed our great party. Within this period, we have been able to touch lives directly and indirectly; sponsored and co-sponsored bills and motions of national significance and provide support for our people in Epe, Ikorodu, Ibeju/Lekki, Kosofe and Somolu Local Government Areas, especially at the time of critical needs and national emergencies.
“In the spirit of collective responsibility, we set out on a mission anchored on #DoingGood, a mantra we have consciously nurtured and faithfully actualised since my inauguration on December 15, 2020. This is founded on three major pillars – legislative role, empowerment and endowment.
“In these three focal areas, we have been doggedly making strategic interventions in the last 24 months, and the people of Lagos East have been at the centre of these interventions.
“Under legislation, for instance, we sponsored 13 private member bills; co-sponsored three other bills and moved two motions on issues of national importance. Of note among these bills are Copyright Bill, 2021 and Franchise Regulation Bill 2022. When finally enacted, these legislations will be catalysts for revamping Nigeria’s creative economy; strengthening the country’s macro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and empowering a teeming number of our youths to effectively operate in the digital environment.
“I have equally moved the motion on the need to urgently rehabilitate Ikorodu-Itoikin-Epe and Ikorodu-Shagamu roads. As we all know, these federal roads are of economic significance not just to Lagos East, but also our country. First, the roads directly connect all LGAs in Lagos East together and to other parts of the state. Second, the roads connect Lagos East to other states of the federation, especially those in South-west, South-east and South-south.
“Until our interventions, the roads had become deplorable and largely collapsed, a condition that subjected our people to undue hardship and undermined socio-economic activities in the district. While the rehabilitation of the Ikorodu-Sagamu road is already at the stage of completion, the federal government promised just the penultimate week to expedite the rehabilitation of the road linking Ikorodu to Itoikin and Epe”.
The Senator also informed the people of Senator Abiru Innovation Lab(SAIL), the first of its kind innovation hub in Lagos East Senatorial District he set up for young people and entrepreneurs, N300 Million Naira Constituency Intervention Revolving Loan, Health facilities and construction of blocks of classrooms he facilitated across the district, provision of grant to 1,250 market women, award of bursary to 600 higher institution stu and monthly support for over 2500 vulnerable constituents among others laudable achievements.
In his remarks, Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu urged residents of Lagos East to support and vote for the Senator and himself and other candidates of the party in 2023. According to the governor, his administration had impacted lives and communities in Lagos East in the area of infrastructure, health and education.
The Chairman of the party in Lagos State, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, said the rally was an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the APC in Lagos State, and in particular the giant strides of various elected officials on the platform of the party.
Director-General, APC Lagos State Governorship Campaign Council, Senator Ganiyu Olarenwaju Solomon (GOS) said he was sure that APC would win all the way. “ As we are winning in Lagos, we are winning all over the federation”, the former lawmaker declared.

The Indomitable Tinubu Support Organisation (ITSO), a national political network championing the actualization of the presidential ambition of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) victory in last saturday’s gubernatorial election in Ekiti State as a signpost to victorious outing for the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in February 2023.
