The Golden Integrated Empowerment Foundation has marked its 15th anniversary, celebrating a decade and a half of impactful community service, empowerment initiatives, and sustainable development across communities in Jos and beyond.

Founded by Comr. Patricia Okosodo, the Foundation commemorated the milestone by reflecting on its journey of transforming lives through education, healthcare, skills acquisition, youth empowerment, and humanitarian interventions.

Speaking during the anniversary celebration, Comr. Okosodo noted that the Foundation was established on the belief that communities can achieve remarkable growth when provided with the right tools, opportunities, dignity, and hope. She highlighted the organisation’s humble beginnings, which started with an outreach programme that provided food support to 50 families, and has since evolved into a platform that has empowered thousands of young people to establish and sustain businesses.

Over the past 15 years, the Foundation has implemented numerous projects, including the construction and support of educational facilities, scholarship programmes for indigent students, healthcare outreach initiatives in underserved communities, and vocational training schemes designed to promote self-reliance among youths and women.

According to the Founder, the success of the organisation has been made possible through the dedication of volunteers, the support of development partners, and the cooperation of beneficiary communities who embraced the Foundation’s vision and programmes.

“This anniversary is more than a celebration of years; it represents countless sacrifices, late nights, answered prayers, challenges overcome, and lessons learned. It is proof that empowerment works when communities and stakeholders work together toward a common goal,” she said.

Looking ahead, the Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to expanding opportunities for young people and vulnerable groups. Future plans include increasing access to STEM education for girls, providing climate-smart agricultural tools for farmers, and nurturing a new generation of young leaders equipped to drive positive change in their communities.

Comr. Okosodo expressed profound gratitude to all partners, volunteers, donors, and community stakeholders who have contributed to the Foundation’s success over the years, describing them as the driving force behind its achievements.

As the organisation celebrates its “Golden Years, Golden Impact, Golden Future,” it remains committed to deepening its impact and building stronger, more resilient communities in the years ahead.
