The Lagos Unity Movement (LUM) has expressed strong confidence in its preparedness to mobilize support and deliver victory for Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat (KOH) in the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
Speaking during an engagement with conveners and members of the movement, the State Coordinator of LUM, Comrade Akadri Babatunde Adeleke, popularly known as Say Leke, assured stakeholders that the group is fully committed to working tirelessly toward achieving success for the deputy governor’s gubernatorial ambition.
According to Say Leke, the Lagos Unity Movement is not designed to compete with or operate as a parallel structure to the All Progressives Congress (APC), but rather to complement the party’s existing campaign and mobilization efforts across the state.
He explained that the movement was established as a conglomerate of emerging political structures aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilization and enhancing the APC’s reach ahead of the 2027 polls.
“The movement is focused on impactful strategies that will translate into votes and ensure victory in the coming election,” he stated.
Also speaking, the Secretary of the group, Ayeni Oluseyi, also known as Damilar, described the assignment before the movement as familiar terrain, noting that members of the structure had previously participated actively in major political mobilization efforts, including the Buhari/Osinbajo campaign and the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Presidential Movement.
Damilare stressed that the group’s operational framework has been tested and proven over time, adding that members are determined to deliver meaningful results through strategic grassroots engagement rather than rhetoric.
He further appealed to party loyalists and supporters across Lagos State to align with the movement in preparation for extensive voter mobilization ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
The event also featured the unveiling of campaign materials, branded shirts, posters, and solidarity displays by members and supporters of the Lagos Unity Movement in support of the KOH 2027 project.
Stakeholders from various Local Government Areas (LGAs), Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs), and ward structures were present at the gathering, reaffirming their commitment to the movement’s objectives and its vision for the future of Lagos State.
