In a bid to bolster support for the vulnerable and underprivileged in Bariga LCDA, the much anticipated Alabi Cares, brainchild of Mr. Onaolapo Afeez Ajao, Chairman of the Bariga Revenue Committee, was officially launched on September 5th, amidst fanfare and enthusiasm.

Conceived to bridge the gap in educational, economic, and social opportunities, Alabi Cares promises to be a beacon of hope for countless individuals and families in need, marking a significant milestone in the quest for a more compassionate and inclusive community.

The convener of the novel program, Mr. Ajao, mentioned in his speech that he conceived the idea to support the vulnerable in the community, especially during this difficult time where some parents find it challenging to sew school uniforms for their children. The idea which is in line with the Transformation Agenda of Hon. Alabi’s administration, which has 8 primary schools in Bariga under construction.

In his speech, Hon. Kolade Alabi Executive Chairman Bariga LCDA praised the virtues of the convener, Mr. Ajao, for coming up with this laudable initiative. He pledged to partner with Alabi Cares by contributing an initial and limitless amount of Five Million Naira. He encouraged the convener to reach all 30 primary schools in Bariga to ensure that indigent pupils are well-kitted and foodstuffs are provided to the vulnerable.

The Executive Secretary of Somolu Local Education District, Mr. Dare Martins Onakoya, expressed his gratitude to the convener, Alabi Cares, for providing much-needed support to the selected schools. He mentioned that this kind of support has been long-awaited by the schools and offered his prayers for the convener.

Towards the end of the program, sewn school uniforms were presented to the pupils of Maharufdeen Primary School, Ajidagan Primary School, Ayinke Primary School, Aiyetoro Primary School, and Alubarika Primary School.
