The Akogun Wale Raji Anomo-led administration in Ikosi-Ejinrin Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has intensified its efforts to prevent flooding in communities of the LCDA by carrying out a comprehensive drainage desilting exercise.

As part of this initiative, drainages in several locations within Ejinrin community, including Balogun Amodu Street, Oke Ejinrin Quarters, Obalende Quarters, and Market Road, have been cleared of debris and silt. This follows the successful desilting of drains in Ketu-Ereyun and Agbowa last month.

The proactive measures taken by the council aim to ensure proper water flow and prevent flooding in the communities. Residents have expressed their gratitude for the council’s efforts, which have improved sanitation and reduced health risks.

The drainage desilting exercise is an ongoing initiative by the Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA to mitigate the effects of flooding and ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for its residents.
