Builder Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, officially commissioned the newly constructed Market street in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
The completion of Market street is a testament to the commitment and dedication of the led Administration of Builder Olusesan Daini to the development of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.
According to Builder Olusesan Daini, the Executive Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, the road was supposed to be completed within six months, but due to various factors like contractors and logistics, there were some setbacks. However, they are grateful that the road is now completed and matches the initial plan. It features a two-sided covered drain and full interlocking.
The construction of this road serves three main purposes. Firstly, it provides an alternative route to the main road, Obafemi Awolowo road. Secondly, it ensures that once the construction of the main road is complete, the market area won’t face heavy traffic as people can use this road as an exit and entry point. Lastly, it’s a significant development for the community, improving accessibility and connectivity.
He also spoke about another major project in the area. This time, it’s the construction of Oluwamonji Road, which is adjacent to Sholawon Road.
One of the main challenges faced with this road was the issue of flooding. There was a need to find a solution to collect the water that comes from that end and discharge it into the main exit road. To address this, the Government decided to connect the drainage through the market place drainage.
With 15 months remaining in his term, Builder Daini expressed his determination to fulfill his responsibilities and deliver on the promises he made to the people. He urged everyone to be patient and allow him to complete the tasks he has set out to accomplish.
He also expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support and prayers from the community. He specifically thanked the leadership of Apex for their invaluable guidance and assistance.
Lastly, He expressed gratitude to the residents for their patience and assured them that the Government is dedicated to fulfilling its promises. He acknowledged that there are still pending projects, but he wants to assure everyone that they will be completed.
Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, member of the GAC Lagos State, he expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s attentiveness to the voices of leaders and the concerns of residents, highlighting the importance of effective administration.
Bashorun also revealed that an ongoing project for the councillors, the Legislative building, is nearing completion and will soon be commissioned. The Chairman has assured them that more projects are in the pipeline, and more projects will be commissioned soon, demonstrating their commitment to continuous development.
Looking ahead to the 2025 Local Government election, Bashorun encouraged aspiring candidates to actively engage with the community by organizing programs and engaging in meaningful conversations. The ultimate decision, Bashorun emphasized, lies with the people, who will choose their preferred representative.
Oba Abdulsemiu Orimadegun Kasali, the Adeboruwa of the kingdom, expressed his heartfelt appreciation to the God Almighty also to the Chairman for his efforts in making the road project a reality.
Adeboruwa took the opportunity to implore the residents living along the road to take charge of its maintenance. He emphasized the importance of keeping the front of their houses clear to prevent waterlogging, ensuring that everyone can fully benefit from the road’s advantages.
Hon. Ogunmuyiwa Jimoh the Baba Oloja of Igbogbo Kingdom and Former Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA in his message for the market people, he emphasized the importance of paying their dues.
He believes that by contributing their dues, they can encourage the local government to continue investing in infrastructure projects that benefit the entire community. Additionally, he urged the market community to support the Government, recognizing that collective effort is essential for progress and development.
