It was a black sunday in Olaoluwa Community area of Agiliti where a canoe capsized in a torrent flood to claim four lives.
The lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency II at Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon Femi Saheed visited the scene of the sad incident to condole with the affected residents.
“I got this devastating news this morning and I had to quickly rush here because to our government, a soul is too much for us to loose not to talk of four lively souls.
I am deeply saddened by this losses because this is my community. I pray almighty God console the bereaved family” He said.

The lawmaker reiterated his call to urge those who live very close to river to relocate to a higher ground for the time being.
He assured the community that he would ensure the incident is discussed at the plenary and immediate actions to cushion the effect of the flood are considered.
He announced a donation of N200,000 to the residents to support construction of plank bridge to serve as alternative to canoe transport of residents.
He also assured that he would solicit necessary support from his colleagues in the house and other relevant stakeholders to assist the victims of the flood disaster.
