Meet the 37 year old young certified forensic Accountant, Vying for Ikorodu Constituency 2 Assembly Seat for the forthcoming election in the year 2023, under the ruling party All Progressives Congress (APC).

TAOREED Babajide Hakeem Bsc.(Hons),Msc., ACTI,ACA,IICFIP Mr. Hakeem Babajide Taoreed is a young certified forensic accountant and criminal intelligence officer who hails from Ijede Town in Ikorodu Local Government area of Lagos State. A Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) and a Chartered Taxation Practitioner of the Institute of Chartered of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) was born on the 14th of March, 1984.

His father is currently the Olotu ebi of the kuyinu Royal family in Ijede popularly know as TBT, he his also the Vice chairman of ijede development foundation (IDF), a member of the oldest social club in ijede charity league club and also the Alatilehin adeen of okeletu Central mosque and faharu wullamahu of ijede central mosque.
His Grandmother is Alhaja Sherifat Bello of Bello compound (Orusule) in Abule Eko Community.

Mr. Taoreed Hakeem had his Junior Secondary School Certificate (J.S.S.C.E) at St. Gregorys College,Obalende and West African Senior Secondary School Education (W.A.S.S.C.E) at Okesuna Senior Secondary School,Lagos Island in 1996 and 2004 respectively before proceeding to Lagos State University, Ojo (LASU) where he studied and obtained a BSc. (Hons) Second Class upper Degree in Accounting in the year 2010.

He also holds a Masters Degree in Accounting and Diploma in Forensic Accounting and Criminal Intelligence from the University Of Lagos (UNILAG) and currently running a Masters Degree programme in Public Administration at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN). He is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) a member of International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP) and holds several certifications in Leadership, HR Practices, Project Management and Civic Responsibility.

Taoreed has an impressive and well documented Work experience Spanning over decades, including Marketing Representative at the Bishop Gate Micro-Finance Bank in 2009 and his one year National Service primary assignment as an Internal Auditor at Pipelines and Products Marketing Company Limited (PPMC) from August, 2010 June,2011.
He commenced his career with Lagos State Government in 2011 and has worked with over 20 (Ministries, Departments and Agencies) MDAs of Lagos State government as a business process partner from control perspective known as internal Audit.

He was first appointed as the Personal Assistant to the Honorable Commissioner for Home Affairs and Culture to His Excellency Mr.Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State from 2011-2013. He later transferred his service to the Lagos State Civil Service where he was appointed as Internal Auditor at the Central Internal Audit (CIAD) of the Ministry of Finance in 2013 and posted to the Ministry of Rural Development and re-deployed to Ministry of Local Government and Community Affairs in 2015. In 2016 Mr Taoreed was posted to the newly established Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment by His Excellency Mr Akinwunmi Ambode as one of the Pioneer Internal Auditor and was later redeployed to Lagos State Infrastructure Asset Management Agency under Ministry of Works and Infrastructure as the Head of Audit of the Agency.

Taoreed has worked in various capacity in the Lagos State Government, as a member of Lagos History and Archives Research Team on State assignment to renowned Archival/Historical Institutions in the United Kingdom, Representative of the Special Adviser on Finance and Audit to the Governor at the Lagos State Pensions Verification Exercise, and Representative of Lagos State Sports Commission on Eko 2012 Sport Festival, Member of the Monitoring team, Bi-annual and Annual monitoring exercise, Lagos State Parastatal Monitoring Office (PMO).
His foray into politics earned him his nick name Ak is Ok and election as the First President of Nigeria Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA),Faculty of Management Sciences ,Lagos State University in 2009 when Accounting Students Association(ASA),LASU Chapter joined the National Body of Accounting Students in Nigeria, the Nigeria Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA).

It could be well said that Mr. Taoreed received his first baptism of blessing in the realm of politics at the Lagos State University, when he successfully contested and was elected as the Class Governor of the Department of Accounting, which he held for 3years from 2005 to 2008 before he was elected as the First President of Nigeria Universities Accounting Students Association (NUASA).

A resourceful and committed political activist , Mr. Taoreed was among the crop of few who combined academics and politics when he joined as a member and a very strong stakeholder of the Lagos State University Student Union Government (LASUSUG from 2005-2010),President of the Social Welfare Group and Director of Social Committee Group ,National Youth Service Corps,(NYSC).

An astute, virtuous, hardworking, dedicated man with great leadership qualities Part of his achievement is the facilitation of the Accreditation of the Department of Accounting, Faculty of Management Sciences , LASU by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) through the 44th ICAN President Dr. Richard Uche and Major Stakeholders in the Department of Accounting in 2009.

The refurbishing of the Department of Accounting, Most Outstanding outgoing student, Department of accounting ,Faculty Ambassador, Faculty of Management Science ,Best all time NUASA President, Lagos State State Indigeneship Scholarship Award. His achievement in the Department of Accounting,LASU most especially the ICAN accreditation among others are still been talked about with relish and nostalgia is a testimony to his great feat that helped student who hope to further their professional Career in ICAN get exemptions to start at the professional stage of the examination.

He is a member of Ijede Charity league and also a member of National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), He is also a successful and experienced entrepreneur with the establishment of TBT Fast Food with outlets like TBT Shawarma,TBT Bakery and TBT Finger foods. From his enviable and glowing records of achievement ,Mr. Taoreed has no doubt prepared himself for the political challenge of now and the future ,Since the inception of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in the country in 1998-2006 ,with the political pedigree of his father Elder T.B Taoreed , Mr. Taoreed has been an active and dedicated member of the then Alliance (AD), Action Congress (AC),Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) from 2006-2013 and the current Progressive Party in Nigeria ,the All Progressive Congress (APC) 2013-Till date.

He was also part of the campaign team for the Incumbent Governor of Lagos State Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the year 2019 BOSCO group, the campaign of the former Governor of Lagos State Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode AMCO group 2015 and a very active member of the ICG group of the Action congress of Nigeria (ACN) in 2011.
