The Chairman Igbogbo Day Central Planning Committee Mr Titilope Andu-Balogun unveils 33rd Igbogbo Day celebration tagged celebration of greatest

Mr. Chairman made this known during a press conference at Oba Fatola Pavillion, Adeboruwa palace, Igbogbo, Lagos.

In the bid for this year’s celebration, the chairman roll out programme of the event as scheduled which will be simultaneously shown online world wide with available phones device;

Day 1: Friday 19th, November with opening prayers(Iwure & Jumat Service) in the morning till 2pm.

Afterwards, Award of Excellence & Dinner Night for selected indigene personalities of Igbogbo Kingdom and Lagosians in Nigeria who has contributed to the society will be held with His royal Majesty (Oba) Abdusemiu Orimadegun Kasali (The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo Kingdom) by 5pm.

Day 2: Saturday 20th, November/Sunday 21st Igbogbo Carnival, Ram Fight Competition and Igbogbo Hall of Fame is expected hold

Day 3: Monday 22nd, November Science, Exhibition, Igbogbopedia, English and Yoruba Debate for both the public and private schools in Igbogbo.

Day 4: Tuesday 23rd November Cultural Day and inter school competition.

Day 5: Wednesday 24th November Health Day and Welfare Package Delivery to befitting elders in the town.

Day 6: Thursday 25th November programmes line upare ; football competition Oloja Day, Youth Empowerment, Youth Gala, and Beauty Pageant round-up activities.

Day 7: Friday 26th November Tree Planting day with enlightenment program on Restoration of Green Infrastructure in Lagos State.

Day 8: Saturday 27th November, grand finale Fuji musician Adewale Ayuba will be featured
and entertain guests and well wishes at the Igbogbo Sports Stadium by 12pm.

Mr Andu-Balogun, the chairman planning committee promised maximum security and assure COVID-19 protocol will be maintained during the event when Journalists were asked

The Chairman also revealed that this year Igbogbo day the funds that will be generated at the course of the event will be channeled to build a standard Town Hall because there is no town hall in the community.

On Education: GCE forms will be distributed to students of the Community in order to assist their parents.

The Chairman also spoke about criteria for award, those that has impacted on the Community, a committees has been set up that will find out people that are worthy of the award.

The Chairman spoke on how funds that were used for the course of the Celebration were gotten Business owners, Sons and Daughters, SMES and so on.
