Asoro Urges parties not to mobilize youths for thugery during Council election ~Ajasa-Info

•Reassures LASIEC of youth participation

The Coordinator of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West Local Branch and Secretary Forum of Coordinators in Ikorodu Division; Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji was one of the stakeholders who honoured the invitation of LASIEC at the Y2021 Local Government Elections Stakeholders’ Forum.

The forum allowed stakeholders to brainstorm on how to achieve a successful election and different groups pledged their commitment.

Comr Asoro with the permission of all the youth Coordinators in Lagos East spoke on behalf of the youths. He assured LASIEC of National Youth Council of Nigeria’s commitment to sensitise youths on the need to come out en mass and vote peacefully during the election. He further called on stakeholders not to put the blame of hooliganism at the door step of the youths all the time, noting that political parties must also be encouraged to desist from hiring youths for hooliganism which the youths may not be able to resist due to economical incapacitation which the system has deliberately subjected the youths to for it selfish gain. He also said that equal representation of the youths will go a long way in giving youths sense of belonging and may curb the occurrence of youthful resistants.

Asoro shortly after that also witnessed the Flag up campaign of Hon SKO/Aluko; the APC Chairmanship Candidate of Ikorodu West LCDA, where during his address, he thanked the APC for presenting youths as it Councilorship flag bearers noting that it shows the party has the youths at heart. He urged the youths to vote only for youths during the election in accordance with it #Youth4Youth agenda.
