
The SGS Old Students Association Ikorodu under the leadership of the BoT headed by Alhaji Murisiq Raji has commenced the renovation and beautification of the school perimeter fence, alongside the construction of a new in-gate to give aesthetics, enhance safety and ease traffic around the school premises.
This critical intervention is borne out of our desirous desire to promote good learning environment and safe working place for the staff and non – teaching staff.
This developmental projects follows formal approval from Education District II and aligns with our commitment to the welfare of pupils, staff and the host community.
*Highlight of the project:*
1. *Perimeter Fence Upgrade*: Renovation and beautification to strengthen security and improve the school’s appearance as well promote good learning culture.
2. *New In-Gate Construction*: Designed to allow free vehicular movement in and out of the school without causing traffic gridlock to residents and passersby, especially during drop-off and pick-up hours. This will also increase the efficiency of the security operatives that travels less to open or close the gate.
3. *Safety First*: The safety of pupils and staff is considered imminent. The project is scheduled for completion before the resumption of the next school term to ensure a secure learning environment from day one.
4. *Beautification and landscaping* The inner circles and green areas will be painted and landscaped.
The Association appreciates the Education District for its approval and the school management for its cooperation. We also appeal to residents and motorists for their patience as work progresses.
This project reaffirms our dedication to giving back to our alma mater and being responsible partners in community development.
