In commemoration of the 2026 Children’s Day celebration and as a prelude to the birthday anniversary of its founder, Barr. Olatoun Adekoya, the Olatoun Olabinjo Women and Child Initiative donated 20 school uniforms to pupils of Local Government Primary School, Baiyeku, alongside 12 bedsheets to the Baiyeku Maternity Centre.

The outreach programme, held on Tuesday, May 27, 2026, was aimed at supporting children’s welfare and strengthening healthcare support services within the Baiyeku community.

Speaking during the presentation, Barr. Olatoun Adekoya stated that the initiative remains committed to improving the wellbeing of women and children through meaningful humanitarian interventions.

According to her, children deserve access to quality education and encouragement that will inspire them to pursue brighter futures, while mothers and newborns should also receive care in a comfortable and supportive environment.

She noted that the donation was not only to celebrate Children’s Day but also to give back to society in appreciation of the support and goodwill received over the years.

Barr. Adekoya further emphasized the importance of community-driven support for vulnerable groups, adding that collective efforts can help create a better and more compassionate society.

Dignitaries and stakeholders present at the event included the Supervisor for Education, Adeyemi Benson; medical officers at the Baiyeku Maternity Centre; the CDC Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Alhaji Rasaq Ibiyeye; the CDC Zone 4 Chairman, Baiyeku, Mr. Femi Adelaja, alongside several other community leaders and residents.

Beneficiaries, including pupils, teachers, health workers, and residents of Baiyeku, expressed appreciation to the Olatoun Olabinjo Women and Child Initiative for the thoughtful gesture and its continued commitment to community development.
