
Members of the Non-Indigenous Group in Ward C4, Owode-Ibeshe, Ikorodu, have declared their support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and endorsed the political aspirations of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, Hon. Babajimi Adegoke Benson and Hon. Oluwatoyin Gafar Bolowotan ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting held in Ibeshe, Ikorodu, where members deliberated on political developments and grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Speaking at the gathering, participants unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to President Tinubu’s second-term bid and expressed support for Hamzat’s aspiration to become the next Governor of Lagos State. They also backed the return of Senator Abiru to represent Lagos East Senatorial District, Hon. Benson for the Ikorodu Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, and Hon. Bolowotan for Ikorodu Constituency I in the Lagos State House of Assembly.
The meeting, hosted by Hon. Patricia Okosodo, Supervisor for Health in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, with the support of the Executive Chairman, Hon. Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, emphasized the need for unity among non-indigenous communities and increased grassroots participation to ensure electoral success for the endorsed candidates.
Also in attendance was Mrs. Nwobu Duru Florence Funmilayo, Non-Indigenous Coordinator for Ikorodu Division, alongside coordinators of the four non-indigenous blocs in Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, including North Central, Ndigbo in APC, South Central and South. The coordinators reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening grassroots mobilization and consolidating support for the party and its candidates across their respective communities.
Members pledged to intensify voter engagement efforts and sustain collaboration among non-indigenous groups, expressing confidence that unity and effective mobilization would contribute significantly to future electoral victories. The meeting concluded with appreciation to party leaders and stakeholders for their continued support and commitment to the development of Lagos State and Nigeria.
