The atmosphere at the Lekki LCDA Multi-Purpose Hall was filled with appreciation, reflection, and renewed commitment as Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, joined workers of the Council to celebrate the 2026 Workers’ Day alongside Council executives, management staff, HODs, and NULGE leaders.

In his address, the Chairman commended the dedication and sacrifices of local government workers, describing them as the driving force behind effective grassroots governance and community development. He charged members of staff to remain cooperative, diligent, loyal, and respectful of constituted authority, noting that productivity and progress thrive in an atmosphere of unity and discipline.

Engr. Kasali also highlighted several welfare-driven initiatives and support systems implemented by his administration for workers, assuring them of even greater commitment towards their wellbeing as long as the same dedication and sincerity are reflected in service delivery.

The Chairman further acknowledged the efforts of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for strengthening the local government system and ensuring that councils remain functional and closer to the people. He expressed confidence in the President’s leadership and called on workers to continue supporting the Renewed Hope agenda.

He concluded by appreciating the Council Manager, NULGE executives, Heads of Departments, and the entire workforce for their unwavering support and cooperation with his administration.
