
First Lady of Nigeria Senator Oluremi Tinubu welcomed the first baby of the year, a baby girl named Chioma Odion Oyigbo, born at 12:27 am at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja. The baby weighed 3.6 kg at birth.
Representing the First Lady, Hajia Nana Shetimma, wife of the Vice President, prayed for the children and advised parents to prioritize their health and wellbeing. She emphasized the importance of adequate attention and care for the children, stating that they are the future of Nigeria.
During the event, the First Lady presented gifts and cash to baby Chioma and her parents. The baby was also given a hard copy of her birth registration certificate, a significant gesture aimed at promoting birth registration in Nigeria.
In her New Year message, Senator Oluremi Tinubu expressed her optimism for the year 2025, emphasizing the need for unity, love, and respect among Nigerians. She assured citizens of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to deepening the nation’s economy and placing it on a pedestal of prosperity.
