Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe, the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, has distributed 5000 welfare packages to Kosofe residents. The initiative, called Kosofe food bank Initiative, which aims to assist the masses and will hold monthly.

Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe stated that the Kosofe food bank initiative will stay for as long as it can, and the aim is to reach out to as many people as it can, and there will be another initiative called the Kosofe house to house food bank, where the team will be going to different houses within the local government providing them foods.

According to Moyosore Ogunlewe, this initiative is not a party affair but a masses thing. He stated that the initiative was something he had always wanted to do even before the issue of fuel.

Moyosore Ogunlewe also assured the public that things will get better. He asked everyone to keep calm and stated that the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his cabinet members are doing so much to make sure that the country is stable.

Mr Babatunde CDC chairman Kosofe local government, in his remarks “the initiative of Kosofe local government is highly welcome by the good people of Kosofe local government, we all know the problems we have in Nigeria today, and What the chairman is doing is giving succor to the vulnerable in the society.”

He added “The residents of Kosofe should pay their taxes because all this they are doing is from tax payers money and should always pray for the Executive Chairman and the country at large.”

The beneficiaries of the program also lauded the efforts of Barr. Moyosore Ogunlewe for coming up with the initiative for giving out welfare packages. They expressed their gratitude for the initiative, which would go a long way in helping the vulnerable in the society.
