Over 500 residents of Ikorodu benefitted from a community health outreach programme organized by Eko Club International; a global philanthropic and socio-economic development, non-profit organization in collaboration with iCare Foundation.

The residents were diagnosed and offered free medical care by multi-specialist team of medical practitioners and other health care experts drawn from the USA, UK and Canada.

Medical services benefitted include: Health education, Diabetes screening and intervention, Vision screening with free frame, General health, Screening and intervention, Procedures/surgeries, Dental check, and Free medication.

Chief Saheed olusi said,”I am the current president of Eko club international which consists of five chapters cutting across the united States,Canada and the united kingdom.

“What we do as a lagosians, true lagosians, we gather resources together to provide what will benefit people in Lagos State. Today, we are on a. medical mission which started in the year 2007. This year, we are providing free medical outreach to five constituency of Lagos State. we are expecting 500 people per day but today we will be attending to over 600 people.

“Non Governmental organization like this are meant to step up to help the people since they can’t be reached by the government “
Mayor Deen Sanwo-Ola the DG of iCare foundation explained that they are having a medical outreach carried out by the Eko international club but it is in partnership with Icare foundation of Rep Babajimi Benson this year to bring this program to ikorodu.

One of the beneficiary of the program, Mrs Animashaun expressed how grateful she was to be a part of this program saying it’s a good program and that she will definitely attend next year.
Another beneficiary said they attended to us with care it’s a good program , I heard about it from the radio and I will definitely attend next year.
