… 2023 General Election: The imperatives of Permanent Voters Card (PVC)
Ikorodu Constituency 1 stakeholders meeting took place on the 30th June 2022 at Lagos state University of science and technology (formerly Lagos State Polytechnic)
The 700 seaters auditorium was filled with dignitaries, OBA’S, traditional leaders, Political leaders across the constituency, Religious Leaders (Imams, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), CDC across the constituency.
Bldr. Adeola Banjo the Executive Chairman Ikorodu North who is the host Chairman gave the welcome address, in his remarks “I welcome you all to Ikorodu North, I implore you all that are eligible to vote to acquire your voters card because that is your power as a citizen of this country and everyone needs to get involved in the process of Governance, Ikorodu is at the lime light now, and I implore you all to contribute your quota to the development of our community, State and country at Large.
In the remarks of Honourable representing the consistency, Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Bolanle Agunbiade the Majority leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly, “I welcome everyone to this august occasion, I give gratitude to God Almighty and appreciate everyone for coming to this event despite the weather, I implore you all to get your voters card, because their is lots of benefits that come with it, as we can’t continue having less than 5% of the population to vote and it’s vote that would make ones voice to be heard.
“INEC officials has been sent here to listen to the complain and provide answer to the questions of the constituents, in which representative from the Lagos State House of Assembly present here are to take reports back to the house, and I’ll ensure I follow it up at the floor of the house. he added
The Sekumade of Ipakodo Kingdom, HRM Oba Engr. Bashiru Shotonwa who is in attendance urged every residence to get there permanent voters card(PVC) and he also implored everyone to work with and support the Government for development in constituency.
Eweye of Isiwu, HRM. Oba Olukayode David pleaded with the people to cooperate with the Government, everyone should all get there PVC and not just keep it at home but should also use it to vote there preferred candidate into office at the forthcoming General election.
The Majority Leader of the Lagos State House of Assembly in his closing remarks he implore everyone to preach the gospel of the permanent voters card to there family, friends and neighbors.
