Yesterday, 17th June 2022, the MD, Lagos State Public Works Corporation, Engr. Somide L.A in the company of Engr. Gbenga Ogunlewe. Engr. Omileye A. A. Engr. Grillo H.F. Engr. Badmus O.I. Engr. Lawal S.B had crucial meeting with Kabi’esi, Oba Semiudeen Kasali, Oba of Igbogbo to intimate him with the update on the construction of Obafemi Awolowo Road to Baiyeku Road.

The led his team to the office of Bldr. Olusesan M. Daini, Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA, relaying the Governor’s order for immediate commencement of the road construction to the Chairman, Vice Chairman, Hon. Nuraini Okedina-Maja and Council Engineer, Mr. Segun Orelesi, the MD who has been in repeated communication with the Chairman prior to the time of the meeting said the Governor wants the road construction to commence immediately.

He said the work will thus start on Monday, 20th June 2022 and every strata of the work will commence simultaneously.

He said surveying, lining, relocation of electrical poles, and construction of drainages will commence simultaneously so as to complete the work before the original scheduled duration.

The MD, on behalf of the Executive Governor of Lagos State seeks for cooperation of the king, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, Bldr. Olusesan Daini and the entire people of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA to make the construction work a speedy reality.

The Chairman appreciates the urgency Mr. Governor place on the construction of the road and promised total support and cooperation of Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and her people to Mr. Governor, the MD and the Engineers.

Finally, the MD Public Works in the company of Bldr. Olusesan Daini, the Vice Chairman and Council Engineer; led the team of his engineers to the house of Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun to intimate him with the development and seek his cooperation for the work.
