
Different dignitaries celebrate Hon. Wale Raji Anomo, the chairman of ikosi ejinrin LCDA as he gives account of his accomplishments and plans for the residents since he assumed office.
The chairman, in his speech said, “ Today makes it exactly 123 days that we were sworn-in as a government at the grassroots by the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, with the mandate to go and complement the efforts of the state at the local level.
You will recall that at the swearing-in ceremony held at the Lagos House, Ikeja on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, Governor Sanwo-Olu, urged us to always put the residents first in all that we do because we were elected to serve the people.
The governor in his words said and I quote, “You have a responsibility to ensure that you do not let the people down in any way or form.
The only way you can reciprocate this trust is to give your best and ensure that the welfare and wellbeing of the people take precedence in all your decisions.
“Right from your first day in office, I implore you to start thinking about the kind of legacy you would like to leave behind when your tenure ends. As we all know, public office is a position of trust that no one holds forever – we hold it for a time and then we pass on the baton to others.”
Residents varies from the young to the old were present to celebrate100 days in office with their chairman as he is the man for the people, “ Good governance is not just about making right decisions but also about the best possible process for implementing those decisions. It is also a subset of governance, where in public resources and problems are managed effectively, efficiently and in response to critical needs of the society.
During the electioneering period, we promised to deliver services and programmes based on the 3E model of governance i.e Engaging, Evaluating and Executing, we will surely deliver, he said”.
Hon. Wale Raji, member House of Representatives in his speech, “Today is a happy day, when you assess a leader, you look for integrity, capacity among other qualities to classify a great one.
He emphasis on working hand in hand, he implore the chairman and his cabinet to rule for the masses all through their tenure, “ I appreciate the party leaders, the Oba’s, the administration and the residents for their cooperation with the chairman as he is the man that stand to be corrected.
Hon. Dahunsi Sylvester popularly known as Sketel, member House of Assembly in his speech, “ I want to commend the chairman of ikosi ejinrin as we have been working hand in hand since he assumed office, you have shown to be a great leader, I am impressed, God will continue to honor you, though previously I was having my doubts about his capability but he has done wonderfully well”.
Former speaker Rt. Hon Jokotola Pelumi expresses his thoughts about the administration “ I’m am happy with the achievements he has done within days in office, it shows he has more in store for the people of ikosi ejinrin, he has chosen his target wisely mostly the less privileged, this person knows what he is doing, Hon wale Raji Anomo has adopted some project from his leader which will aid him in progressing more, you have a great mind, I wish you all that you wish yourself and lot more.
The chairman give account of stewardship since he assumed the office, it varies from different sectors such as the health where he provided an ultra modern Primary Health Centre, he said, “Odo-Temu ultra-modern PHC is almost ready for commissioning and in a matter of days, we all shall be gathered again to commission the Health Centre. This modern PHC has two, 10-bed capacity wards meant to serve both male and female gender respectively. A labour room for our pregnant women to deliver their new born, Pharmacy, Consulting room, Store, offices for doctors and nurses on duty. This PHC also has a borehole facility and also a Security post. Upon Completion, we shall also provide a standby generator for efficient and effective running of the PHC.
In the aspect of education, he provided educational materials for students varies from different classes, he said, “our administration has introduced Ikosi-Ejinrin Complete School Pack and we shall be launching this Complete School Pack which will be given to each of the 5,000 Pupils across the 17 Public Primary Schools in this LCDA. Each Pack contains; a school bag, school uniform, sandals, writing materials (exercise books, pen, pencil, crayons, and eraser. While those in Primary 4 and Primary 5, have a dictionary and mathematical sets added to theirs. This is because we know that they are closer to writing the common entrance examination, this additional materials will assist them in preparation for the common entrance.
Also, “the challenge of students transportation, trekking long distances which result to identify fatigue by the time they get to School, risk of getting kidnapped, vulnerability to accidents amongst others. To put an end to these problems, we have procured two buses which will take our pupils and students at designated Bus-Stops to and from their respective Schools, more busses will be provided subsequently.
Other sectors like infrastructure, rural electrification, security, agriculture, social welfare package ( helping the petty trader financially to boost their business), job creation,training & empowerment, sport and tourism, arts & culture, “we have touched all these various aspect accordingly and we would do more, remember we promised to Change the Narratives, we are already doing that, we will continue to, We won’t fail you, we won’t disappoint you and we will never relent in our effort to take Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA to the next level.
