…food support programme to 600 households in Ijede

The local government chairman of Ijede Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba commemorate her 100days in office since inception in her speech “when we assumed office, driven by readiness to work and passion for service, we immediately hit the ground running through strategic visits, consultations, and prompt actions. This explains why we have been able to record a string of achievement within a short period” she further explained her plan to impact the residents positively. “As a people oriented administration our vision is making life more meaningful for the citizen and to impact the lives of good people to Ijede both young and old even though we have some challenges especially capital, however we have been able to fulfill some of our promises”.

Former Deputy Governor Abiodun Ogunleye in his speech emphasize on “team work”, he implore the administrative cabinet to work hand in hand with the chairmanship for a successful tenure “she is a youth like most of you, you should work together, moreover she is already putting in place some of the project which shows that she’s capable”.

The immediate former chairman of Ijede LCDA Alhaji Fatiu Salisu express his gratitude and appreciation towards the Ijede residents, religion leaders, party leaders and traditional leaders for the support they have shown so far for the current chairman Motunrayo Adijat Gbadebo Alogba just like they shown him love during his tenure.

“I appreciate all residents and dignitaries of Ijede for their job well done in supporting the current chairman for the success of the administration, i implore you all to correct us “The Politician” and not condemn, i want this current administration to be more successful than mine, so therefore pray for them always”

He also said that the Lagos State Government Babajide Sanwo-Olu promised to complete the Ijede phase 2, i have faith in him that he is going to accomplish that. Hon Motunrayo Adijat Gbadebo Alogba gives account of some of the activities since she assumed the office.

“It is imperative to highlight few of our activities since inception and also inform you of our plans as time and opportunities unfold.

In the area of education, “we distributed education materials, as well as we hosted the preliminaries of the annual Spelling Bee Competition to the indigent pupils in primary and secondary school. We also facilitated the construction of additional classrooms at the vocational center situated at Igbe-ogunro through our representative in the Federal House of Representative Hon Babajimi Benson.”

Also, we actively participated in all state-initiated programs like the LASEMA public awareness days, World good day among others like street lights, creation of the end malaria project, distilling of community drainage and as soon as the rainfall reduce, we intend to rehabilitate the mayflower road/falilat ajoke street.
The chairman express her gratitude to the residents of Ijede to celebrate her 100days in office, she initiate a food support program for the resident to relieve them in the current situation of the country. “To celebrate this auspicious day, we are giving food palliatives to 600 households tagged “Ijede Turayo Ayo Nitemi” food support program. This initiative will be done quarterly to ensure that we provide succor to our people particularly in this trying time”. Also plans are in motion for the stakeholders meetings where residents are expected to highlight the needs of their respective communities.
