Offers Prayer for peace and unity in the Country

The National Council Of Muslim Youth Organizations Ifako-Ijaiye Ojokoro Zone has tasked the government to do more on Security of life and prosperity in the country and also offers prayers for peace and unity.

The Coordinator of the umbrella body of Muslim Youth Organizations in Ifako-Ijaiye and Ojokoro Bro. Adeyemo Abd’Akeem said this at the 1443AH edition of the Hijrah Awareness program organised by the group on 29th Of August (20th Muharram 2021) held at the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government Secretariat Idiagbon, College Lagos State.

The Guest Lecturer, Sheikh Imam Opeloyeru, Chief Missioner of Nuru-Haq Society, disected the topic in detail and sited reasons and Islamic solutions to the problems of insecurity. He also said all forms of insecurity should be tackled from the roots and also urged the parents to ensure they monitor their wards so as to stem all acts before it boomerangs.

While speaking to journalist, the coordinator gave the reason for choosing the
theme: Insecurity and Nigerian State: Islamic Panacea He commends the efforts of the government in curbing the high level of insecurity, banditry and other social vises and charge the them look inward in tackling the challenges.He expressed confidence that if we look back to Almighty Allah with prayer that solution is very near.

Hon. Ibrahim Adenekan Councillor ward C2 Ifako-Ijaiye and a Muslim Faithful while addressing our correspondent said security embodies the mechanism put in place to avoid, prevent, reduce, or resolve violent conflicts, and threats that originate from other states, non-state actors, or structural sociopolitical and economic conditions.

He also stated that insecurity is a breach of peace and security; whether historical, religious, ethnic, regional, civil, social, economic, and political that contributes to recurring conflicts, and leads to wanton destruction of lives and property.

Hon. Ibrahim therefore said the government needs to create an economy with relevant social, economic and physical infrastructure for business operations and industrial growth, to provide gainful employment, functional and useful education, and quality health care for the people.

Early before the Public lecture, students from various Schools had Participated in the final of Annual Quiz and Quran Competition with Daru- coming first in the Junior and Arabic School category while Sonmori Comprehensive High School came first in the senior category.

Dignitaries at the event were: Alhaji Yusus Lasisi (Yalus) Grand Patron Muslim Community and NACOMYO Ifako-Ijaiye Ojokoro Zone, Alhaji Abd’Lateef Sumonu, President Ifako-Ijaiye Muslim Community, Alhaji Oyedeji Abd’Talib Orire, Baba Adini Ifako-Ijaiye Ojokoro Muslim Community, Alhaja Balogun Owolabi Fatimoh, Iya Adini Ifako-Ijaiye Ojokoro Muslim Community., Alhaji Abd’ Salam Abdul Lateef, representative of the Executive Chairman of Ifako Ijaiye local government, Mr Wonuola Gbajumo, representative of Hon. Owolabi Adisa, Member House of Representatives.

Also in attendance were media Houses such as Super Screen Television, Tribune News Paper, APi Online News, Community Eye Magazine, Ifako Ijaiye Post, South West Voice Magazine among others who were fully present to cover the event.

While giving his vote of thanks, the chairman planning committee,Bro. Abd’Lateef Babatunde who double as the deputy Coordinator of Nacomyo Ifako-Ijaiye Ojokoro appreciated the overwhelming Participants of very young and stakeholders with about 500 five hundred turn out. He expressed his gratitude to Almighty Allah for the Success of the Hijrah Awareness program and promised that the organisation will not relent in organising Programs that will empower and build the youths.
