“As an advice, this year’s celebration should have the gods appeased in order that our nation may be cleansed of all sorts of tribulations that are confronting her and return it to her usual progressive and peaceful path. This is a time all hands must be on deck though prayers, sacrifices and other humanly possible efforts to make this dear nation of ours shine again.”

“Let me conclude by urging the leadership of the respective traditional religions to ensure that the year’s celebration in gone about in the most peaceful and orderly manner that is devoid of youth restiveness and abuse of the celebration so that consideration for the inclusion of the day in the national calendar of festivals, as being clamored, may be achieved.”
