NYCN Ikorodu West Appreciates APC Stakeholders for Presenting Young Councilorship Candidates ~Ajasa-Info

•Ask other parties to emulate the ruling party

•Jessica, Batife, Owomilowomi and Adelaja shines on the list

Through a press statement released by it PRO; Anuoluwapo Taiwo and signed by the Coordinator; Comr Asoro Abubakri Olatunji on Sunday, the NYCN Ikorodu West Local Branch has sent an appreciation message to the APC for considering young Councilorship aspirants as it candidate after it last primary.

The statement reads in part “during our last press release dated 24th May 2021, we appealed to all the political parties especially the APC to give the youths between the ages of 18 to 35 and 40, the opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of Ikorodu West LCDA.

As the umbrella body of all youth organizations, it is our duty to advocate for youth inclusion. It gladdens our heart that while the party may choose to do otherwise, it did not. More than expected, the party also went further to also consider gender equality. We want to state categorically that, this generation of youths will not be ungrateful”.

They send a special appreciation to Hon Babajimi Benson MHR and the Council Chairman; Hon Princess Olajumoje Ademehin Jimbo and APC Apex Leaders in Ikorodu West for their role while asking them to do more for youth inclussion.

The statement reads ” We want to specially appreciate the role of all APC Apex leaders in Ikorodu West and our MHR; Hon Babajimi Benson with special regards to our Grand Matron and Executive Chairman Ikorodu West LCDA; Hon Princess Ademehin Olajumoke Jimbo.

Like Oliver Twist, we would always ask for more. We want to state categorically that, the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West local branch has been a training ground for leaders of repute. It is only trite to let these individuals test their acquired knowledge and experience in governance. Therefore, in the coming days and as the political land scape of our LCDA continue to take a new shape of youth inclusion, we look forward to more youth appointments and engagements”.

While congratulating and urging the young candidates to deliver beyond measures, it stated that “We officially Congratulate the new candidates: from the first lady of the state youth council – Hon Jessica Enitan Oba, Hon Daisi Batife, Hon Adelaja Abimbola and Hon Abimbola Owomilowomi. We charge them to be proud ambassadors of the youths constituent by delivering on their mandate beyond expectations”.
