The group also thanked the Executive Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu for demonstrating exceptional leadership qualities which have raised the bar for all and created direction for many vision-driven public servants in the state.
According to the release which was signed by Mr. Niyi Odugbesi (DG, BACT) and Mr. Abiodun Banjo (Secretary General, BACT), the duo of Asiwaju Tinubu and the Executive Governor of the state deserve all commendations as they both worked day and night in the past few days to ensure that the state’s party primaries went smoothly without any encumbrance.
Furtherto, the group expressed their profound gratitude to the entire members of the Governor’s Advisory Council, especially the leadership of the party in Ikorodu division for their standing by the truth, appreciating the good works of their symbol and ensuring that fairness came to play at the end. The statement reads, “we thank immensely the leadership of the party in Ikorodu division for standing by the truth, appreciating the good works of our symbol and of course, their concerted efforts at ensuring peaceful and transparent conduct of the elections: we are deeply grateful.”
The statement reads further, “we also thank Ikorodu North LCDA Chairman’s Advisory Committee (CAC) for the leadership role played before, during and after the primary elections. Our appreciation would be incomplete without thanking numerous members of the party for defying the harsh weather of the Election Day and coming out in good numbers to vote for our symbol. In addition, we sincerely appreciate our Royal father and Council of Baales, members of various community-based groups such as CAN, Muslim community, Youth council, NURTW, TOAAN, TODAL, RTEAN, CAN, CDC, the leadership of Market Men and women association, Association of Artisans, the Students Union and many others who not only embraced our message of voting our symbol but did well to lend their support in various ways to the campaign.”
A part of the release also commended all the other aspirants in the primary election for their giving it a good fight and eventual spirit of sportsmanship.
“we cannot but commend all the aspirants that came out in the primaries and gave our symbol a good fight, it was indeed a worthy effort and truly underscores your passion for the growth of our LCDA. Your display of good sportsmanship in accepting our symbol as the party’s flag bearer further shows you are truly committed to the positive development of Ikorodu North LCDA,” the statement reads.
The group also seized the medium to appeal to all members of the party to come together and work as one body towards the actualization of the party’s goal of returning Builder Adeola Adebisi Banjo as the Chairman of Ikorodu North LCDA at the forthcoming July 24 council’s general election.
“We need teamwork to achieve the task ahead. And as it is commonly said, teamwork is the ability to work together towards actualization of a common vision, the ability to divest individual energy into realisation of collective goals and the drive that allows common people to attain uncommon goals. Therefore, all hands of true party faithfuls must be on deck from now to ensure that the party records landslide victory at the coming polls. We need to remember that, a victory for Banjoo is a victory for our party; and a victory for our party is a victory for every party member; while a victory for every party member is a victory for entire Ikorodu North LCDA as we eventually succeeded in doubling Banjo Adeola Adebisi’s term to double our collective gains as a people.” the statement reads.
