Hon. Temitope Adewale host Muslims, prays for Asiwaju, Obasa and Nigeria as he marks his birthday in grand style.* It was a moment of enthusiasm and conviviality in Ifako-Ijaiye constituency 01 yesterday as Hon. Adewale Temitope Adedeji organized a special Ramadan Lecture and Prayer Session for the duo of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, and the Rt. Hon. Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Ajayi Obasa.

The event also coincides with the birthday celebration of Hon. Temitope started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the rendition of the birthday song in honor of the celebrant. Hon. Adewale gave his opening speech by thanking the people of his constituency for their ever-ready and unflinching support for him. He hinted that the reason for the lecture during this Ramadan period is to call the consciousness of the people to God and also to surrender our nation Nigeria into the hands of almighty Allah, most importantly to pray for our leaders Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Obasa for their political ambitions for 2023 and the restoration of peace in our nation.

The theme of discussion; How To Eliminate Poverty and Insecurity in our nation was ably delivered by Sheik Shuaib Atata, the chief Imam of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government. He did justice to the topic while highlighting the various ways to deal with poverty which he said is achievable by “believing in God, being responsible by working or learning the trade and also getting support from the government”.

He also said in his lecture that, insecurity is mainly caused by lack of proper upbringing by parents, failure of the economic system, and hunger. He beseeches the government to find a solution to these problems while he offered prayers for the convener of the event, leaders in various climes, and Nigeria.

The event was a colorful one and had in attendance several dignitaries among which are; Hon James Adisa Owowlabi- House of Representatives member representing Ifako-Ijaiye federal constituency, the formal member of the House of Representatives- Hon. Nurudeen Olaitan Akinwunmi, Members of the Lagos State House of Assembly: Hon. Nurudeen Akinsanya (OSMARK), Hon. Rasheed Makinde, the representative of the speaker, SA on Budget, Lagos State House of Assembly- KK, former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly- Hon. Dayo Saka Fafunmi, Chairman of Wharf landing fees- Prince Adebayo Salvador, Hon. Hameed Idowu Tijani HID- Executive Chairman of Ojokoro LCDA, Apostle Toba Oke- Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye local government with his Vice- Prince Usman Akanbi Hamzat and the former Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye- Hon. Demola Doherty was also present. The legislative arm of the Ifako-Ijaiye local government was led by Hon. Biodun Akinola and his colleagues, several leaders of the party, the party chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye local government- Dcn. Banjo Omole and his exco members, former LGA Chairman Hon. Akintunde Fadayomi, the leader of the largest political group in Ifako-Ijaiye local government- (Ajumose) Engr. Jacob Dada, Elder Odeomu from Agege local government, while the royal fathers and council of baale’s were led by Oba Abass Amole, the Olu of Ishaga, the oba elect of Iju Ogundimu- Prince Ademola Ogundimu, Oba elect of Ogba- Chief Adeola Abatan and all the Baales. The market leaders led by iyaloja General- Chief (Mrs.) Doyin Coker, representative of Iya Adinni of Ifako-Ijaiye/Ojokoro, party faithful, Ajumose singers, youths, members of the press, friends of Hon. Temitope Adewale and several well-wishers made the occasion a memorable event. The event the first of its kind and the convener promised that it will be a yearly event.
