The Coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ikorodu West Local Branch has commended the stakeholders in Ikorodu Division for prioritizing youth development and reorientation.
Asoro who doubles as the Secretary of Forum of National Youth Council of Nigeria Coordinators in Ikorodu Division said this while giving vote of thanks on behalf of the Coordinators in Ikorodu Division during the Youth Leadership Retreat put together by the Forum. He noted that the success of the retreat was due to the financial commitment, moral and physical support of all the stakeholders especially all the Grand Matron/Patron (Chairmen) of each local branches. He noted further that initially, the exercise seems not possible until God stepped in through the stakeholders. He also commend the relentless efforts of the Coordinator of Coordinators and the Coordinator of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA whose determination and leadership distinction saw to the success.
He further call on stakeholders to main the tempo noting that with such energy and commitment, lots can be achieved for the youths including empowerments which may in turn further reduce youth restiveness and curb crime.
The NYCN leadership retreat was first of it kind in the history of NYCN in Ikorodu Division. It’s a 3-Days retreat which was held at the Jubilee Chalet, Epe for all the 54 executive members of local branches in Ikorodu Division. The event has left an indelible memory in the mind of the participants, hence, their unfettered love and appreciation to all stakeholders.
The event witnessed the presence of Dignitaries including the Chairman of Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA; Bldr Sesan Daini and Mayor Deen Sanwoola; DG iCare Foundation who were the Guest Speakers.
Other dignitaries included Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba; Vice Chairman Ikorodu LG, Comr Olalekan Biliamin-Oba; Chairman NYCN Lagos State, among others.
