The former Speaker Of Lagos State House Of Assembly Rt Hon Dr Adeyemi Ikuforiji voted at unit 003 ward A4 Okebalogun area of Epe in the bye-election to fill the vacant seat of Lagos East Senatorial District at the Senate.
He ensured that he delivered his Polling Unit for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate, Tokunbo Abiru. The former Speaker Lagos State House of Assembly, ensured APC’s candidate polled 76 votes to defeat the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Babatunde Gbadamosi, who came a distance second with 11 votes at Ward A4 Okebalogun, Polling Unit 003, Epe, Lagos.
The former Speaker had arrived the polling unit and was accredited by INEC officials after which he was given the ballot paper. He subsequently cast his ballot. While speaking with the press he categorically said that members of the APC are on course to deliver Epe LGA for Tokunbo Abiru. He described the party candidate as the most preferred among all.
According to him, the people in Epe appreciated the APC’s intervention programmes in the areas of road infrastructure that is ongoing across the Local Government, health care services, education and poverty alleviation programmes, hence the people are out to respond with votes for the ruling party.
He submitted by saying he is assuring the people that more democratic dividends would come their way if they cast their vote for APC candidate.
