The National Council Of Muslim Youth Organizations in Ifako/Ojokoro Zone, which is the umbrella body of all Muslim Youth Organizations marks this year’s Hijrah 1442 AH Awareness Program with mind blowing lectures and prayers for the Nation, leaders and stakeholders in the LG and LCDA.

The 2 Days well packaged program which was held on the 26th and 27th of September 2020 commenced with webinar virtual Lectures from Dr. Raimi Lukman who talked on “The need for Innovation for An Accelerated Transformation”. The well known university don encouraged the youths to see Innovation as the tools to achieve local and global transformation especially after the covid pandemic, he further explained the gains and areas youth can exploit on innovation and transformation.

The CEO of Our Friends Hospital Dr. Isa Muhammed Majeed also delivered extensive lecture on “Post COVID 19 Transition to Normalcy- Moving Forward with Healthy Lifestyle”, the popular doctor cum lecturer advised the youths to maintain good hygiene and sound healthy living styles practiced during the pandemic and encouraged the youths to continue to maintain social and physical distance as it was usually observed.

The last lecture of the day was delivered by Alhaja Suwebat Bola Kupolati which was centered on “engaging Muslim Sisters in Governance”, she delt thoroughly on the topic with practical approaches on how Muslim Sisters can take active and important roles in governanve and cooperate institutions. She admonished the young sisters and members of the organization not to sit back and allow their duties and responsibilities to be taken over by their male counterpart.

Physical event took placed on Sunday 27th September, 2020 at Ojokoro LCDA Secretariat which was witnessed strictly by Executives, members, few invited guests and representatives of both the Local government council chairmen. The program commenced with special prayers for the Nation, (Nigeria) the Stakeholders and all leaders of Ifako Ijaiye and Ojokoro Local Council Development Authority.

The Special Prayer Session was centred on Nation, leaders of Ifako-Ijaiye/Ojokoro, including the Baba Adinni and It’s Adinni Ifako Ijaiye/Ojokoro, Alhaji Sumonu Abd’Lateef, Alhaja Balogun Fatimoh Owolabi, the C.E.O of Our Friends Hospital Ifako Ijaiye. The Council also shower prayers on the Chairmen of Ifako Ijaiye Local Government and Ojokoro LCDA Hon. Oloruntoba Oke and Hon. Hammed Tijani, the House of Representative Member Hon. Owolabi James, the Assembly members, Hon. Adedeji Temitope Adewale and Hon. Abd’Rasheed Makinde and the Leader of Ojokoro Legislative Arms.

Speaking at the event, the Coordinator of Nacomyo Ifako Ijaiye/ Ojokoro Zone described the event as a low key one as a result of the ravaging Covid-19 and also appreciates those that contributed to the success of the program. He appealed to all participants in the Islamic Quiz Competition to continue to love one another and be a good ambassador of Islam and gifts was presented to winners.

The representative of Ojokoro LCDA chairman and Leader of Councilor Ojokoro LCDA, Mr. Adejumo Muritala commend the Executives of Nacomyo ably led by Bro. Adeyemo Akeem and the entire stakeholders of the Nacomyo for the honour done to celebrate this year Hijrah program at Ojokoro LCDA and promised not to relent in contributing his quota to the upliftment of the Organization. Earlier in the day the executives had a visitation to Alhaji Abd.Lateef Sumonu, the President Muslim Community Ifako Ijaiye and Rosheediyat Islamic Foundation Youth forum.

The deputy Coordinator of the Zone Bro. Hassan Salaudeen gave the vote of thank to all stakeholders, donors and individuals for their support and special thanks to Dr. Isa Muhammed and Alhaja Balogun Fatimoh Owolabi who was represented by Mrs Kareem. Also presence are Nacomyo Ifako Ijaiye Ojokoro Zone Mursheed, Deputy’s Coordinator and Mursheed, Secretary, Auditor, Welfare Officer, Publicity Secretary, members and other participants.
