… Pledges Commitment to Grassroots Mobilisation and Party Growth

The Lagos State Supervisors and Special Advisers Forum, Ikorodu Division (LSSF-IKD), has inaugurated its new Executive Committee for the 2026–2029 tenure, with members pledging renewed commitment to grassroots mobilisation, member welfare, and the advancement of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The inauguration and swearing-in ceremony attracted party leaders, government officials, political stakeholders, and members of the forum from across the six council areas in Ikorodu Division.
In his welcome address, the outgoing Chairman of the divisional body, Arakunrin Ogidan Kazeem Sowemimo, described the occasion as another significant chapter in the history of the forum. He noted that the leadership embraced continuity as a legacy capable of sustaining the achievements of previous administrations.
Sowemimo stated that the forum would continue to strengthen unity among members, improve welfare, and maintain the cordial relationship existing between council chairmen and cabinet members across the division.
According to him, the collaboration between political office holders and local government administrations has contributed significantly to the delivery of democratic dividends to residents of Ikorodu Division.
Delivering his acceptance speech after taking the oath of office, the newly inaugurated Chairman, Comrade Abdullateef Omotayo Odusanya, popularly known as TySleek, reaffirmed the forum’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its commitment to supporting the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Odusanya described politics as a game of numbers and strategic mobilisation, stressing that the strength of any political movement lies in its ability to effectively organise and engage its supporters.
He explained that the establishment of the forum’s structure was aimed at harnessing the numerical strength of supervisors and special advisers across Ikorodu Division to consolidate support for the party and ensure future electoral victories.
The chairman noted that great leaders prioritise the welfare of people while building strong political structures, adding that members of the forum have played vital roles in enhancing the performance and effectiveness of local government administrations.
He called for greater collaboration, innovative ideas, and improved efficiency among members, while also emphasizing the importance of rewarding hard work and improving the welfare of party loyalists and grassroots mobilisers.
Odusanya further appealed to council chairmen across the division to sustain their humanitarian efforts and support for grassroots development, noting that residents continue to appreciate their contributions to governance and community growth.
The new chairman expressed gratitude to several political leaders and stakeholders for their support, mentorship, and contributions to the success of the forum and its activities.
Speaking during the vote of thanks, the Secretary of the forum, Prince Muyideen Olatunji Yusuf, appreciated guests and dignitaries for attending the inauguration ceremony.
He described their presence as a demonstration of confidence in the newly elected leadership and assured stakeholders that the executive committee would remain committed to effective service delivery throughout its tenure.
Yusuf also pledged that the forum would continue to seek the guidance, support, and partnership of political leaders and stakeholders as it works toward achieving its objectives.
The newly inaugurated Executive Committee of LSSF-IKD for the 2026–2029 tenure is headed by Comrade Abdullateef Omotayo Odusanya as Chairman, with Hon. Ibrahim Abdulfatai O. serving as Vice Chairman and Prince Muyideen Olatunji Yusuf as Secretary.
Other members of the executive include Hon. Gbotifa Adekunle J. (Assistant Secretary), Hon. Ogunbela Olawale JP (Treasurer), Hon. Showemimo Wasiu Adegbolahan (Financial Director), Hon. Bilikisu Adebayo (Assistant Financial Director), Hon. Kehinde Fakunmoju (Legal Adviser), Hon. Adelaja Abimbola (Auditor), Hon. Taiwo Disu (Chief Whip), Hon. Kara Mojeed O. (Public Relations Officer), Hon. Abebi Abari (Welfare Officer), Hon. Oteju-Ogbe Adebimpe (Assistant Welfare Officer), and Mr. Taofeek Olawale Ipaye (Organising Secretary), among others.
The ceremony concluded with renewed commitments from members to strengthen the APC’s political structure within Ikorodu Division and contribute to the continued growth and success of the party in Lagos State.
