The Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE), on Tuesday joined other key stakeholders at the Lagos State Primary Health Care (PHC) Financing Retreat, aimed at strengthening sustainable healthcare systems across the state.

The retreat brought together policymakers, health administrators, and local government leaders to deliberate on strategies for improving primary healthcare delivery.

Delivering the keynote address, the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, outlined a bold and forward-looking 10-year Primary Health Care financing plan designed to enhance access, boost efficiency, and ensure long-term sustainability of health services in Lagos State.

The session also featured an interactive engagement where council chairmen shared experiences and highlighted progress made within their respective local health systems, emphasizing grassroots-driven solutions to healthcare challenges.

Through his participation, Kasali reaffirmed Lekki LCDA’s commitment to building a healthcare system that is not only accessible but also responsive to the everyday needs of the people.

The engagement, according to stakeholders, marks a significant step toward building a more accessible and responsive primary healthcare structure that meets the needs of residents across Lagos State.
