A pro-government advocacy group, Eko Vanguard, has officially endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for re-election, declaring full mobilisation of its members and supporters ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced at Marquee Hall, LTV 8, Agidingbi, Ikeja, where the group reiterated its commitment to coordinated political engagement and grassroots-driven support for the President and candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Speaking at the event, Akinyemi Ajigbotafe, who also serves as Patron of Eko Vanguard, delivered an extensive appraisal of the administration’s performance over the past three years.

He outlined a range of economic reforms introduced under President Tinubu, noting that they have begun to stabilise key sectors and reposition the nation’s economy for long-term growth.

Ajigbotafe highlighted targeted employment initiatives designed to empower youths and stimulate entrepreneurship, explaining that the government has continued to prioritise job creation through skills development programmes, support for small and medium-scale enterprises, and strategic public-private partnerships.

He added that the administration’s focus on wealth creation is gradually translating into broader economic inclusion, with more Nigerians gaining access to opportunities for sustainable livelihoods.

He further stressed that ongoing investments in infrastructure, industrial growth, and innovation are laying the groundwork for a more resilient economy, while policy reforms are addressing structural challenges that have hindered development over the years.

Saheed Tijani emphasised the administration’s reform agenda and its impact on both economic and infrastructural development. As Director General of Eko Vanguard, he noted that deliberate policy decisions taken by the President have improved fiscal discipline, enhanced revenue generation, and strengthened investor confidence in Nigeria’s economy.

Tijani pointed to visible improvements in critical infrastructure, including transportation networks and urban development projects, as evidence of the administration’s commitment to national growth. He explained that these developments are not only improving connectivity but also creating an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

Tijani added that the administration’s long-term vision is focused on sustainability, inclusive growth, and national prosperity, noting that consistent implementation of these reforms will continue to shape Nigeria’s economic future positively.

He reaffirmed that its core objective is to mobilise, educate, and sensitise grassroots voters, particularly those considered politically uninformed, on the importance of democratic participation. He also pledged the group will intensify awareness campaigns around the policies and achievements of the current administration.

Also addressing participants, Eniola Opeyemi urged Nigerians not to be swayed by critics, maintaining that the policies of the Tinubu administration are designed to deliver long-term benefits for citizens.

In a similar vein, the President of LASCOTA expressed confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu, describing him as a source of hope for ordinary Nigerians.

Adding a youth perspective, Amosu Oluwatomi stated that, “Our President is a listening President. Less than a year after he assumed office, we held a stakeholders’ meeting in Lagos and, speaking on behalf of youths, we resolved that the Youth Ministry should be separated from Sports and that a young person should be appointed as Youth Minister.

Fast forward, he delivered on that demand by appointing a youth and also creating a separate Ministry of Sports.”

The event concluded with a renewed call for sustained grassroots mobilisation and unified support as political activities gradually build up towards the 2027 general elections.
