
Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo, Member of the Lagos State House of Assembly representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, has extended his warmest congratulations to Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba following her appointment as a Member of the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission.
Hon. Ogunleye described the appointment as a “masterstroke of meritocracy,” noting that Princess Olabanji-Oba’s transition to the Commission is a testament to her years of dedicated service to the people of Ikorodu and the nation at large.
Highlighting her vast experience, Hon. Ogunleye remarked that the Princess is a “round peg in a round hole.” Having served with distinction as the Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government for eight years, she has garnered an intimate understanding of the complexities of local administration.
Her leadership extended beyond the state as she served as the National Chairman of the Association of Local Government Vice Chairmen of Nigeria (ALGOVC), a role where she championed the interests of local government administrators across all 774 local government areas in Nigeria.
Her elevation to the Local Government Service Commission is a win for the entire Lagos State civil service.
Her deep-seated knowledge of human resource management at the local level will undoubtedly bring fresh vigor to the Commission’s mandate of ensuring excellence and discipline among local government employees.”
He further praised her for being a tireless advocate for women in politics and a stabilizer within the All Progressives Congress (APC) family, noting that her brand of leadership focuses on empathy and result-oriented governance.
