As part of activities marking the 10th coronation anniversary of Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, the palace has announced a free Computer-Based Test (CBT) training programme for 500 senior secondary school students across six public schools in Igbogbo.

The initiative, described as a prelude to the anniversary celebration, is aimed at equipping students with essential digital and examination skills ahead of their Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Speaking on the initiative, the monarch emphasized the importance of education in community development, noting that “knowledge is the lasting crown we can give our young people.”

The one-day intensive workshop is scheduled to hold on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at HOMAT CBT Center, Igbogbo, where participants will receive hands-on CBT practice, exam strategy coaching, and career guidance to enhance their academic performance and digital confidence.

Beneficiaries of the programme are drawn from six public secondary schools, including Zumratul Islamiyah Grammar School, Community Secondary School, Bayeku, Lagos State Model Girls College, Agunfoye, Reri Secondary School, Oreta, Oreyo Grammar School, and Civil Service Model College.

The training programme underscores the monarch’s decade-long commitment to advancing education as a cornerstone for sustainable community growth and youth empowerment.

Chairman of the Central Planning Committee for the anniversary, Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, noted that the initiative reflects the vision of the royal institution in fostering knowledge-driven development within the kingdom.
