Rehabilitation work has officially commenced at the Apakin Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), following a recent inspection by the Executive Chairman, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali (MNSE, MNATE).

The chairman, during his visit earlier this week, assessed the current state of the facility and pledged swift intervention to restore and upgrade the health centre for improved service delivery. True to his word, construction teams have already begun rehabilitation efforts as of October 9, 2025.

Speaking on the initiative, Engr. Kasali reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to accessible and efficient healthcare, emphasizing that primary health facilities must meet the needs of all residents, particularly at the grassroots level.

The Apakin PHC serves several communities within Lekki LCDA, and its rehabilitation is expected to enhance access to essential medical services, reduce patient wait times, and improve the working conditions for healthcare professionals.

The project marks another step in the council’s broader efforts to strengthen the local healthcare system and improve the overall well-being of residents.
