Rep. Babajimi Benson, Member of the House of Representatives for Ikorodu Federal Constituency, held his quarterly stakeholders’ meeting for the year 2025. The meeting brought together party leaders, market leaders, community leaders, and party loyalists to appreciate their dedication to the party’s overwhelming victory in the last council elections.

During the meeting, Rep. Benson emphasized that sustainable projects, such as more hospitals, new schools, capacity building, employment opportunities, bridges, and better roads, would continue to transform lives across the constituency. He also mobilized support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing reforms, assuring that they would begin to bear fruit by January.

Rep. Benson praised the Ikorodu division’s willingness to record increased numbers of voters in the ongoing voters registration exercise. He revealed that prospective voters’ turnout from Ikorodu division has been overwhelming, with some residents being redirected to neighboring councils due to high demand. This, according to him, is a proof that Ikorodu’s fierce loyalty to Tinubu’s 2027 return bid is very strong and remained undistracted.

The lawmaker also unveiled completed and upcoming projects, including the 7km Agbede Road set for commissioning this Saturday. He hinted at new infrastructure projects, such as a Radio-to-Odogunyan link road and other massive road projects.

In his address, Rep. Benson appreciated the party executives, noting that their efforts were acknowledged. He emphasized that legacy projects, empowerments, improved education system, well-equipped hospitals, employments, and capacity building would be the hallmark of his representation. He said, “Even if I share ₦10 million each, it won’t solve your problems. But with more schools, hospitals, empowerment, and investments, Ikorodu will rise to enviable heights and delivered a better Ikorodu federal constituency to you with shared prosperity.”

Party leaders and stakeholders praised Rep. Benson’s leadership. Otunba Olasunkanmi Tijani, APC Chairman Ikorodu Division, called for bigger wins in future elections, praising the division’s leap from 64,000 votes in 2021 to over 120,000 this year, while urging that the next target must be no less than 150,000 votes.

Hon. Sunday Benson saluted Rep. Benson’s unwavering support, describing him as the party’s backbone and a rare ambassador of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in Ikorodu and Lagos state whose welfare packages record for the APC family in Ikorodu division and by extension Lagos state remain unbroken. “JB is a core party man and we are proud of the good leadership he has and will continue to provide.”

Immediate past Chairman, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA Otunba Olusesan Daini, applauded Rep. Benson efforts in all spheres in the division stated that his legacies in communities are proof of leadership worth rewarding with more voters mobilization and not just voters registration.

Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA Chairman, Hon. Hammed Aroyewun promised loyalty in both ballots and action to Rep. Benson and the party, unveiling plans by all Council Chairmen in Ikorodu Division to shoot up party Excos’ monthly welfare packages “unprecedentedly” as a token of appreciation.

Iya Oloja General Ikorodu Division, Chief Mrs. Busola Isikalu, extended her heartfelt gratitude to Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unprecedented support to market women in Ikorodu Division. She described him as a leader who listens and his doors are always open to them. She also used the moment to advocate for Ikorodu for Governor in 2027.

Alhaja Olulonyo applauded Rep. Benson as the Koseleri of Ikorodu, a historic achiever whose 10 years of impeccable service delivery through iCARE Foundation has lifted the division into national relevance under President Tinubu’s administration.

In conclusion, Rep. Benson reiterated that “Ikorodu’s loyalty at the polls will not go unrewarded, but will be repaid with legacy projects, empowerments, improved education system, well-equipped hospitals, employments, more capacity building and a future firmly anchored in growth and shared prosperity.”
