In the usual way of giving back to his constituents Rep. Babajimi Benson the Chairman House Committee on Defense through his iCare Foundation gives out over 500 food items known as ‘APO ANU’ to constituents in Ikorodu federal constituency, for the May edition of the Program which took place in the Constituency office of Rep Babajimi Benson, yesterday 13th of May.

iCare foundation buys grocery food items and redistributes in bags called AAPO AANU or MERCY BAGS for needy, physically challenged and widows within Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Members of the public are also given the opportunity to nominate someone within Ikorodu Division that is in need, who is either Elderly, Widow or Physically Challenged for the monthly food ration.

The iCare Foundation of Rep. Babajimi Benson is a non-profit organization that focuses on the improvement of the quality of life of every resident of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The beneficiaries extend their appreciation to the initiator Rep. Babajimi Benson for his kind gesture towards them and shower prayers on him.

Hon. Toyin Gafaar DG Lagos State Sport Commission, Hon. Ogunmuyiwa former Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Nureini Okedina-Maja Vice Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA , has congratulated member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson on his 51st birthday.

Senator Abiru, in a statement issued by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, described the legislator as a dedicated representative , who has been  impacting the lives of constituents since he got into office. 

The #DoingGood Senator specifically referenced people-oriented initiatives like Apo Anu (Food bank for the needy), and other laudable projects and programmes under the auspices of iCare Foundation.

The statement read, “On behalf of my family, and the great people of Lagos East Senatorial District, I congratulate my dear brother,Hon Babajimi  Adegoke Benson, member of the House of Representatives representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency, on his 51st birthday.

Rep. Babajimi Benson member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency took the gospel of Babajide Sanwo-Olu to the Redeem Christian Church of God RCCG, The Overcomers’ Place – Region 26 Headquarter in Ikorodu, yesterday 5th of March.

He addressed members of the church, he appreciate them for their support in the Presidential election saying that Ikorodu had the highest vote for APC in the whole of Lagos State.

He said, “I bring greetings from the Governor and from the Ikorodu federal constituency, we say a big thank you for last week election because Ikorodu had the highest vote for APC in the presidential election. The Governor sent us to say a big thank you and to seek for more assistance in the coming Governorship and House of Assembly Election also to seek your blessings.”

“I can see they are some POP project that the church needs myself, the Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA and the General Manager of Public Works will work together to get it done”, he said.

Pastor Dele Olowookere the Head Pastor of the Church said, “On behalf of the Redeem Christian church of God the Overcomers’ place, we are not the only church but the Governor had us in mind to come and visit us, we say a big thank you, the church has members of different political parties, but we know that the Governor has done well for the past four years and what he has done is very visible.”

“And if someone does really well, he should be allowed to participate again. We want to assure you that we will be praying for him that God will support him fervently. We want to also tell you that some of our members are also part of this party as well and they will help in doing some of the grassroots work.”

Rep. Babajimi Benson however honored the men of God and the church by kneeling down to receive their blessings.

Independent National Electoral Commission Ikorodu office, has declared Rep. Babajimi Benson the winner of the Ikorodu Federal House of Representatives Seat having scored the highest vote at the just concluded election which took place yesterday across Ikorodu federal constituency.

Earlier this afternoon, the collation officer Professor Victor Ariole announced Babajimi Benson as the winner of the House of Representatives seat in Ikorodu federal constituency having polled the highest votes with the total number of 60,890 while his closest rival Shittu of PDP scored the total number 15,966.Rep. Babajimi Benson reacting to his victory at the just concluded poll he said “I feel great, I give all thanks to God, I thank my family, my darling wife, I thank the leadership of the party, I thank Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for giving me this golden opportunity, introducing me to politics, it is a very very good thing for Ikorodu federal constituency for giving me this overwhelming mandate again.”

Rep. Rep. Babajimi Benson the Chairman House Committee on Defence doles out 500 food packs tagged as ‘APO ANU’ to constituents in Ikorodu federal constituency, for the February edition of the Program, which took place at the lawmaker Constituency office today, 5th of February.

iCare Foodbank was established on October 16,
2016 by Rep. Babajimi Benson member House of Representatives representing the good people of Ikorodu federal Constituency through his iCare Foundation, It is the first food bank in Nigeria, iCare Foodbank distributes food ingredients monthly to a large numbers of families including elderly people, widows, indigent people and the vulnerable in the society.

Also incorporated into the distribution channel are Community Development Committee, Community Development Associations, traditional institutions, Student bodies, religious organizations and social groups with a direct connection to residents who are vulnerable and in dire need.

The beneficiaries of the Aapo Anu, Pray and laud the efforts of Rep Babajimi Benson for his consistency since 2016 he has been doing this great initiative and other massive projects he has been doing in Ikorodu federal constitueny.

It was a massive turnout as Ikorodu federal constituency celebrate the orange day to flag off campaign for their beloved representative Rep Babajimi Adegoke Benson Chairman House Committee on Defense on the 7th January, 2023 at the Ikorodu ferry terminal.

People from different constituency, political leaders graced the event to honour Rep Babajimi Benson and discuss his good deeds and service to humanity, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal popularly known as K1 De Ultimate entertain the gathering with his melodious music.

The Vice Chairman of APC, Lagos East Senatorial District Hon. Olayinka Oladunjoye commend the good efforts of Rep Babajimi Benson “I’ve been hearing the positive feedback from your constituents and I must say I’m proud of you, I am using the opportunity to urge our party faithfuls to vote massively and canvass to vote for our Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Babajimi Benson and all our APC candidates in the forthcoming election.”


Hon. Abubakar from Jigawa state said he is not surprised about the event because Hon. Jimi Benson is a wonderful person he said,”Ikorodu constituency, you are very lucky because I worked with him at the national assembly as a first timer and he took me as a brother.

In commemoration of the Year 2022 World food day the iCare food bank doles out over 500 ‘Aapo Anu’ to the Residents of Ikorodu federal constituency an initiative of Rep Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal Constituency which took place yesterday 15th of October at the his constituency office.

World food day is observed annually on 16th of October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food. The theme for 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind.

Today, 20th August 20222, Ikorodu Federal Constituency Citizens erupt in cheerful Jubilations, as The Member, House of Representative, Rep. Babajimi Benson, of Ikorodu Federal Constituency did Mega Empowerment for residents of Ikorodu, at his Constituency Office, along, Ebutte Ikorodu Road.

Addressing his constituents on the purpose of the mega empowerment, Rep Babajimi Benson, said, it had become pertinent for him, to appreciate the good people of Ikorodu. For their unwavering support, trust, and loyalty through his fruitful journey at the House of Representative, Since his First-term, Second-term, and Incoming record Third-term in office.

While, He also, highlighted, Some of the Projects he had facilitated across the Six division in Ikorodu, Ranging from successful completion of 30 Federal and Inward roads, Construction of 80bed Hospital in Imota, Completion of link roads in Ikorodu west LCDA, Ikorodu central, Ikorodu North LCDA, Ijede LCDA and Igbogbo LCDA respectively, amongst other series of Empowerment visible to the Ikorodu Citizens.

Rep. Babajimi Benson tour some of his facilitated projects in Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the early hours of Saturday, his first stop was Agbala/Eyita roads, 11 roads linking some parts of Ikorodu Central and Ikorodu North LCDA. They are; Oshin-Ladega Street, Agbala, Amudat Jokomba Street, Olokunola Street, Oladunjoye Oriola Street ( Better food), Oguntuga Street, Igbeyin Adun Street, Olaore Oshikoya Street, Ayodele Ayeni Street, Giwa Efugbotu Street and Adeyiga Street (Benson Estate linking Munirat Aleje and Benson bus stop).

Baale of Agbala, Sheikh Musiludeen Abiodun Kalejaye commend and pray for Rep Babajimi Benson for a good representation in Ikorodu federal constituency since his assumption in office, the lawmaker in return appreciate the people of the community for their continuous support, The Vice Chairman Hon. Ameen Apanishile and other members of the Ikorodu North LCDA received the legislator in the community.

The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA Bldr. Olusesan Daini and members of the iCare team accompanied him to inspect these massive projects.

Rep. Babajimi also inspect an 80-Bed Mother and Child centre in Imota LCDA, which will be completed soon, he was received by the Ranodu of Imota, Executive Chairman of Imota and members of his Executive Council and staffs.

The inspection train also landed in Ijede LCDA, where the lawmaker inspect the 3 roads (Sholumade, Eluku and Olutusin streets) he was received by The Executive Chairman Hon.
