
The residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency celebrated a remarkable milestone – eight years of the iCare Food Bank, an initiative of Rep. Babajimi Benson.
Since its inception on October 16, 2016, the program has consistently provided monthly food distributions to vulnerable families and individuals.
The iCare Food Bank has made a tangible difference in the lives of many, with over 500 households benefiting from the program monthly. Specifically targeting elderly people, widows, indigent individuals, and the vulnerable in society, the food bank has become a beacon of hope.
“Rep. Babajimi Benson is a Godsent to our community,” said Mr Adedotun, a grateful resident. “His dedication to our welfare is inspiring, and we thank him for his selflessness and kindness.”
Mrs. Alao, another beneficiary, echoed similar sentiments, “We thank Rep. Babajimi Benson for his unwavering commitment to our well-being.”
Residents shared personal stories of how the iCare Food Bank has been a lifeline for their families. “iCare Food Bank has brought joy and relief to our community,” said Alhaji Suleiman.
Mr. Fasanya added, “We are grateful for his tireless work in improving our lives.”
Rep. Babajimi Benson’s commitment to his constituents’ welfare has earned him the title of “Messiah” sent to Ikorodu. His efforts have not only alleviated hunger but also restored hope and dignity.
