In the usual way of giving back to his constituents Rep. Babajimi Benson the Chairman House Committee on Defense through his iCare Foundation gives out over 500 food items known as ‘APO ANU’ to constituents in Ikorodu federal constituency, for the May edition of the Program which took place in the Constituency office of Rep Babajimi Benson, yesterday 13th of May.

iCare foundation buys grocery food items and redistributes in bags called AAPO AANU or MERCY BAGS for needy, physically challenged and widows within Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Members of the public are also given the opportunity to nominate someone within Ikorodu Division that is in need, who is either Elderly, Widow or Physically Challenged for the monthly food ration.

The iCare Foundation of Rep. Babajimi Benson is a non-profit organization that focuses on the improvement of the quality of life of every resident of Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

The beneficiaries extend their appreciation to the initiator Rep. Babajimi Benson for his kind gesture towards them and shower prayers on him.

Hon. Toyin Gafaar DG Lagos State Sport Commission, Hon. Ogunmuyiwa former Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Nureini Okedina-Maja Vice Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Ameen Apanishile Vice Chairman Ikorodu North LCDA, former Vice Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Pastor Adelakun CDC Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA among other dignitaries were present which they also helped in the presentation of the Aapo Anu bags.

Rep. Babajimi Benson the Chairman House Committee on Defence doles out 500 food packs tagged as ‘APO ANU’ to constituents in Ikorodu federal constituency, for the February edition of the Program, which took place at the lawmaker Constituency office today, 5th of February.

iCare Foodbank was established on October 16,
2016 by Rep. Babajimi Benson member House of Representatives representing the good people of Ikorodu federal Constituency through his iCare Foundation, It is the first food bank in Nigeria, iCare Foodbank distributes food ingredients monthly to a large numbers of families including elderly people, widows, indigent people and the vulnerable in the society.

Also incorporated into the distribution channel are Community Development Committee, Community Development Associations, traditional institutions, Student bodies, religious organizations and social groups with a direct connection to residents who are vulnerable and in dire need.

The beneficiaries of the Aapo Anu, Pray and laud the efforts of Rep Babajimi Benson for his consistency since 2016 he has been doing this great initiative and other massive projects he has been doing in Ikorodu federal constitueny.

Over 500 residents of Ikorodu Federal Constituency benefitted from a medical outreach organized by iCare Foundation, a foundation of Rep Babajimi Benson, the outreach took place yesterday at the Constituency office of the MHR.

The beneficiaries which include men, women, kids and physically-challenged benefitted from: General health screening and intervention, Dental check, Vision screening with free frame, Free Medication, Health Education, etc.

They appreciate the kind gesture and full of prayers for getting various medical advices on complaints and free drugs dispensed for treatments.

The beneficiaries also pledged their support for the Re-election of Rep. Babajimi Benson to represent them one more time at the national assembly to continue the good work he his doing.

In line with the monthly iCare food bags distribution, iCare Food bank of Rep. Babajimi Benson Chairman House Committee on Defense distributed 1,000 food bags popularly known as Apo Aanu for December edition.
The food bags were distriuted to widows, physically challenged and others in dire need to celebrate the Yuletide in good spirit.

Sir David Sumoni Lagos State University Pro Chancellor commend the good efforts of Rep Babajimi Benson in the past years as the representative of Ikorodu federal constituency.

Bldr. Olusesan Daini Executive Chairman Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA in his remarks “I am glad to witness the monthly APO ANU event, the distribution of food bags to the good people of Ikorodu division this is not a party thing but for everyone living in ikorodu axis of Lagos state, Rep Babajimi Benson is a representative for all and not APC alone”.

He appeals to everyone present at the event to endeavour to vote for all the APC candidates at all levels from the Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all other APC candidates comes February and March 2023 consecutively.

Mr. Rotimi Erogbogbo Chairman Ikorodu Oga Development Association also commend the efforts of Rep Babajimi Benson having been doing this since 2016, he also use the opportunity to endorse him for another term in office.

He extended his greeting by wishing everyone a merry Christmas and happy New year in advance.

iCare Foundation partners Kimberly Clark on distribution of 5000 diapers, sanitary pads ~Ajasa-Info

As part of her community outreach activities, iCare Foundation under Rep. Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal constituency partnered with Kimberly Clark; manufacturer of Huggies diapers and Kotex sanitary pads to distribute 5,000 pieces of Huggies diapers to mothers in primary health facilities and 5,000 Kotex sanitary pads to secondary school students in Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Beneficiaries of the sanitary pads were female students of selected secondary schools in the 6 Local Council Development Areas in Ikorodu, while nursing mothers at Ita-Elewa Primary Health Centre, Ijede, Ipakodo, Baiyeku, Imota health centres, among others benefitted from the diapers distribution.

The female students were lectured on the appropriate and hygienic way to use sanitary pads.

The mothers and students were delighted and commended Rep. Babajimi Benson for facilitating the kind gesture to them.

To commemorate the International Girl Child Day, Ikorodu Diamond Leo Club donated 500 menstrual pads Proudly sponsored by iCare Foundation to female students at Ikorodu Junior Grammar School, Ikorodu, Lagos today 19th October, 2022.

A pep talk was also given by the Guest Speaker, an educationist who is passionate about female child support, Lion Mrs. Funmi Alabi.

Leos from other clubs were present to support Ikorodu Diamond in this impacful project.

The school’s management thanked the organisers and sought more projects like that be conducted in their school.

In commemoration of the Year 2022 World food day the iCare food bank doles out over 500 ‘Aapo Anu’ to the Residents of Ikorodu federal constituency an initiative of Rep Babajimi Benson Member House of Representatives, Ikorodu federal Constituency which took place yesterday 15th of October at the his constituency office.

World food day is observed annually on 16th of October to highlight the millions of people worldwide who cannot afford a healthy diet and the need for regular access to nutritious food. The theme for 2022 is Leave NO ONE behind.

It is not new that Rep Babajimi Benson has been doing this on a monthly basis without waiting for the yearly World food day.
