
Hon. Kayode Akanni Oguntunde, a community-oriented man in Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, has declared his intention to run for the office of Chairman. Having been born and raised in the community, Oguntunde possesses a profound understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by the residents, enabling him to effectively serve and represent their interests.
He began his educational journey at Apollo Primary School in Ketu, proceeded to Orisigun High School for his secondary education. He then pursued higher education at Ogun State Polytechnic (now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic), where he studied Banking and Finance. Lastly, he earned a degree in Political Science from the National Open University, further solidifying his academic foundation.
With a strong political background, Oguntunde has been actively involved in politics since 1995, serving in various capacities, including as personal assistant to Hon. Tunde Braimoh, former Chairman of Kosofe Local Government, and Special Assistant on political matters to Braimoh during his tenure in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Oguntunde’s vision for Agboyi-Ketu LCDA is centered around Governance with fairness and equity, with a focus on welfare packages for the indigent, Security welfare, infrastructure development, youth and women empowerment. He commended the current administration’s efforts in infrastructure development and youth empowerment, promising to build on their successes.
Oguntunde has pledged to prioritize primary education, ensuring that the necessary resources are allocated to support the educational sector. He also promises to create opportunities for entrepreneurship and skill development, empowering youths and residents to become self-sufficient.
Drawing from his personal experience, where his training in borehole drilling has proven invaluable, Oguntunde believes that skill development programs will equip residents with the skills they need to succeed.
He said if elected, he plans to establish an enabling environment for youth to engage in sports, computer literacy, and vocational training at a dedicated center, providing opportunities for entrepreneurship and skill development.
Oguntunde appealed to the good people of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA, APC leaders, and members to support his bid to become the party’s flag bearer, assuring them that he will not disappoint.
