Comrade Odumosu Rafiu Abiodun Ashaka, a native of Imota Ayayo, has formally declared his intention to contest for the position of Executive Chairman of Imota Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in the 2025 Local Government election. Ashaka, who will be running on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made the announcement on Tuesday, July 2, 2024.

In a statement released by his media team, Ashaka expressed his commitment to serving the people of Imota LCDA with diligence and meticulousness. He highlighted his leadership expertise, citing his current role as CDC Chairman and his previous positions in student and youth organizations.

Ashaka emphasized his readiness to leverage his skills and experience to propel Imota communities towards sustainable development, focusing on 8 key administration priorities aimed at achieving sustainable development goals.

He solicited the support of all stakeholders, including political leaders, traditional leaders, faith leaders, civil societies, market associations, youth and student bodies, and the general public, to collaborate and build a proud Imota LCDA for generations to come.
