A Lagos based Destination Marketing Organization – DMO with the core focus on strategic content development and promotion of places of history and attractions, aimed at making Lagos the most visited destination in Africa early hours of yesterday and got endorsed by the Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu led Administration through the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture under the care of Pharmacist Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, the Honorable Commissioner to further complement the efforts of the ministry in tourism promotion.

In the content of the endorsement letter received by the MD/CEO on behalf of Eko Destination Ltd, the Honorable Commissioner for Tourism, Arts & Culture stated that In a bid to reposition the Tourism and Entertainment Sector in line with the Lagos Tourism Masterplan & Policy, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture has endorsed Eko Destination Limited to promote and further market Lagos to the World.

This Endorsement is aimed at building on the inherent creativity of the people of Lagos and further establishing the State as a vibrant and innovative tourism destination that diversifies the economy, creates jobs across multiple tourism segments, and offers world access to ingenuity and hospitality of the residents.

This Partnership is also expected to be mutual beneficial as the Ministry will leverage the vast experience in tourism promotion exhibited over the years by the CEO of Eko Destination Ltd.

She further stated that the ministry is very happy to be part of this initiative as it will further promote the THEMES Agenda, enhance Lagos State’s competitive positioning relative to other tourism destinations, and position Lagos as a top 5 tourist destination in Africa.
